Shxt was uncalled for. You could argue that we don’t know the full situation, and that the girl filming was the problem overall but the family (mom mostly) would still be in the wrong for invading her personal space in that instance, ESPECIALLY since she felt the need to not push back ajoining family members. Almost using it as leverage. Imagine subjecting a small child to this? It seems like the daughter/roommate(?) was even pushing her back. And the person filming saying even [the daughter/roommate] talked shxt about her was unironically very telling. Who knows what actually transpired, but that parent was out of line.

Some people's parents interject themselves into shit that has nothing to do with them. When I was in my early 20s I was a manager at a blockbuster (yes I'm old) and I had to fire an employee after he pulled up in his car to the storefront, while off duty, and blasted his profanity laced music for every customer to hear as they came into the building. When I got the complaints the next morning, I had no choice but to fire him. He even knew he fucked up and accepted it. But his mom... His mom came up later that afternoon and started screaming at me about firing her baby (he was 23), saying I should have given him another chance, yada yada. I just looked at her with a blank face and said "lady I didn't hire you, so there's nothing for us to talk about." Her husband called the store a couple hours later and apologized for his wife and said he understood why I had to fire him. Some people just don't know how to cut the cord.

Not work related but when I was in a band, I was the one who had to kick one of the guitarists out because he was clearly trying to make the band all about him. The rest of us felt as if we were just the hires performing for the main star. Any input was dismissed by him and he really just wanted us to play what he wanted. So I fired him and soon after his mum decided to contact us and complain about why we did that. Despite explaining ourselves, we just eventually gave in and said we’re sorry how it made his son feel. But seriously her son is a grown man with a kid and here was his mum showing up to complain. There was another situation where (again) I had to kick out a guitarist because she for some reason failed to tell us that she had planned to go travelling around the US in the summer when we were doing auditions. We had our gigs planned, our practices were solid and we were ready to go. But we had to cancel them because she just threw everything in the air and expected us to be fine with it. Afterwards, and thankfully we weren’t there at the time, her angry dad came to rehearsal space asking where we were.

Parents at youth sports games are complete monsters. My first job when I was 14 or 15 was as a basketball referee for a local youth league. I used to have to wake up at 6 am every Saturday to get to the gym and I'd be there for 9-10 hours of games across all age brackets. I've literally had parents try to physically fight me. I'm talking full grown adults in their 30s or 40s trying to beat up a kid because they disagree with a call. I wasn't a tough or older looking kid, I definitely looked my age and I've always been a bit small. I did it for two years because I enjoyed teaching the kids how to play better and it was nice to see them have some fun when their parents weren't blowing up. The umpire probably deals with this shit pretty frequently. It's nuts. Honestly just go to any youth sports league and it's free brain worms content. You could get a year of episodes off of a couple of days. It's crazy and depressing.

You are 100 % correct! Our boys played baseball. It is astonishing and sad the amount of parents that scream and holler at the coaches, umpires, and their kids! Our philosophy was let them have a good time ITS A GAME not the end of the world if they loose. While one parent was berating their child for not hitting the ball, our youngest was in the outfield looking at bugs in the grass. Did we care? Nope, he was having a good time. When it was his turn to bat, did he strike out? Yup,we didnt care then either, he had fun trying. The coach was a great guy, always always words of encouragement to each player.

@@EnterpriseNCC-1701 It's all good. I wanted the income, and part of my job was teaching the kids how to play the game if they were struggling with something specific and I really enjoyed interacting with them. When the parents weren't flipping out, the kids were having a great time and I'm proud and happy that I could be part of that. Plus it was good exercise and I got to shoot some baskets during halftime, which was always fun. It's the league I played in when I was a kid and I have such great memories of it, I hope I was able to contribute to some equally good memories for the kids I met.

Heated arguments that never end because A: room mates often just suck ass, B: the confrontations with stupid idiots who think they're always right is a trigger for most people since the world is plagued with dumb/annoying people I think we can all relate and cringe to these unfortunate, familiar situations, causing a sort of PTSD in us, C: knowing this could very easily be avoided/prevented if only people could just learn to shut their mouth& mind their own damn business.... So why do we love it so much, specifically the drama of it ??

Pure pissing contest to see who could appear the most knowledgeable of the game. As a live long Raiders fan, I grew up just outside Oakland in the 60s through the 70s, one of the most difficult things to deal with is other Raiders fans. Was at a game in San Diego when a group of idiots starting yelling at, throwing trash and actually spit on a woman and her 3 kids wearing their Chargers gear. I started to walk over and ask them to stop, I was with my wife and my own kids, my wife begged me not to, there must have been 20-25 of them. I’d have probably gotten my ass kicked.
