Annoying Neighbor on BAMBOO AIRWAYS A321 in Vietnam 2024| Flight Review

I decided to do a day trip to Saigon, aka Ho Chi Minh CIty to try out Bamboo Airways, whcih used to fly even the B787 to Europe. Nowadays, they sized down a bit, and only fly narrow bodies in the region. Despite offering a business class (which I found quite pricey), the experience felt a bit like on a low cost carrier, which I assume, they actually are now. I was a bit unlucky with my seat neighbour, which was a bit unpleasant, even annoying. But all in all, the flight was..... well, see in my video :)

Greetings my friend! Well that looked like pure misery for you sitting in that cramped seat. I feel terribley bad for you that you would have to fly like that. It never ceases to amaze me that airlines are still allowed to cramp people so close together, which is why so many people don’t live when planes crash or have accidents because they can’t get out s the seat become dislodged from the floor and pancake every row against each other. The stains on the light cover are likely from the AC condensation that is making its way down into the side panels. The fact that it’s looks dirty tells you all you need to know about the air quality! That passenger next to you! Well here is what I would do if I was a passenger, I would have waited until a FA was near me and made it very apparent that I woke the passenger up and pardoned myself to use my tray table. He would have been forced to do so. I am sorry you had to experience a rude passenger like that. I can’t stand people that are so rude like that and it’s one of the reasons I will no longer fly in the back, if I can’t get First Class or Business , I will not fly. Good to see your great review . Thank you for your kind words and insight. It really was a tight affair, and it was even just half the struggle, because I still had my extra legroom in the first row of this Economy Class cabin. And regarding the stained light cover, you are right about the AC condensation, I wasn’t thinking about that! And same here, if I have alternatives to fly up front at a reasonable fare, I try to avoid Economy Class, but not because of the other pax, rather because of my size. But too often I have no choice, simply because it’s too pricey. Maybe one day my channel will have grown enough, allowing me to look a bit less at the price tag :)))

As a rule of thumb, I believe it is courteous to give the armrests to the middle seat occupant. The window passenger has the window, and the aisle passenger has the aisle. Also, whenever possible, I think people of substantial girth or overall size should try to upgrade their seat because they simply don't fit into today's economy cabins.

I agree, since the middle seat occupant is already in the least comfortable position. However the issue here was, that my table was in his armrest, and he was reluctant moving his arm…. for some reason.
