@MetalBansheeX10 ай бұрын
Come on, it isn't basically the ssme thing at all. Even if you watch the earlier Annoying Orange videos now you'll see it makes sense despite them being dumb (and st timed clever) humor. Skibidi Toilet is a just barebones premise with an extrenely thin narrative. It's absurdity without any nuance nor character (or charscters). It's random nonsense without the random nor the nonsense. It's so nothing I can't even describe it properly. There's nothing to attach to. There's no human connection. Annoying Orange had characters with their own distinct personalities and roles. Also, there was a ton if stuff like Skibidi Toilet back then as well. It had little to do with quality being subjective and its perception changing throughout generations. As a child I could judge things by their quality. I remember that I hated the "newer" Annoying Orange videos when I first discovered AO, but I eventually watched the first ones and I really enjoyed them. Same with Spongebob when I was like 5. Loved the first 3 seasons, didn't care for the movie and I hated the rest of the seaons. It has nothing to do with people being kids. It has to do with their taste (which influences taste, but to an extent and it mostly depends on the kid's taste, refinement and reasoning).

@@Gogeta2501I can't imagine what it must be like to see someone extremely happy about finally discovering who they are, and just be an absolute dickhead about it because you don't understand it. Maybe instead of being an insufferable douche you could do like the tiniest bit of research on how these things work.

I would watch Smosh and Daneboe for hours on end many years ago. It’s great to see Daneboe is doing well!

I just discovered Smosh a few months ago and it's been such an entertaining ride! The KZbin algorithm introduced it to me by way of the Autoplay feature one night and Shayne made a reference to The Monster Squad (one of my top 5 favorite movies) and it caught my attention so I subscribed. Little did I know that decision would lead me down one of the biggest video rabbit holes of my life! lol. Learning the history of Old Smosh while simultaneously learning about new Smosh has been wild and I'm very thankful for the hours of entertainment y'all have given me this year. And today I got to learn about Annoying Orange! Anyway, thanks again. Happy holidays and I'm looking forward to watching this and all of the other shows im 2024 😊

I love that they felt safe to come out as non binary here. I bet Smosh is so proud that they have fostered such an accepting environment.

The unapologetic pro-LGBTQ stance that SMOSH takes helps to make the world a safer place for people like me. Representation matters so much.

Yes!!! Especially since a lot of their fans back in the day were exactly the type of assholes to purposefully misgender people. Seeing Ian immediately correct a pronoun slip without fuss or prompting, and both him and Anthony just being like 🌈✨ally!✨🌈 warms the heart

I love the idea of branching out and looking back on several channels its so interesting listning to what it was like behind the screen from both you guys and others and considering how popular stuff like this is i think people agree. I like to believe most people are supportive or at the very least don't care what gender or sexuality people have and ofc the haters are just very loud and waste so much time hating on others instead of making themselves happy.

Skibidi toilet is 100% the Annoying Orange of this time. My parents hated it and I would take my moms phone and hide in the bathroom to watch new AO videos. I think I also acknowledged that it was nonsensical and I 100% sympathized with my mother on not liking it but let me tell you, I was compelled.
