I’ve literally made ratatouille and had friends that wanted to try it, then get mad when they found out it was a “vegan” dish. Totally agree, even my grandma prefers certain meat and dairy alternatives just because the real thing bothers her stomach a lot. You don’t know why they are vegan ( dietary, weight, health, religion, or allergies) if you feed a vegan person meat, it hurts your stomach so much, since you aren’t used to that. I’ve found that a lot of vegans get more creative with their meals and put more care into spices, herbs, taste, and texture. I myself am not vegan and love cheese and medium rare steaks (not together, lol), but my sibling is vegan and they’re a much better cook than I am. Tofu and other vegan proteins are delicious and I’ll often opt for vegan and vegetarian options like tofu and paneer respectively due to the lovely consistency they have. You never have to worry about gristle, nasty globs of fat, or disgusting connective tissue. I really appreciate that as someone with a lot of texture issues

I watch numerous youtubers that make great vegan recipes and are so positive and are never aggressive towards meat-eaters. So When people like these cry about veg and vegan food I really feel bad for them since they are clearly missing out on some of the best food in the world. Also I know we have the popular "chicken tikka Massala" here but India is more widely known for it's veg and vegan food than non veg.
