Annual Conference and Global IA Leadership Summit 2015

Internal Auditors (IA) are pivotal to the strengthening and assurance of good corporate governance, internal controls and risk management. With change being the constant factor, IA, in our currently evolving economic, political, regulatory and technological environment, must broaden its scope and improve its capabilities, with the end goal being of integral overall value to organisations. For better efficacy, IA needs to be constantly updated on trends, risks, business landscapes and furnished with the opportunities to enhance their skillsets.
The Global Leadership Summit and Annual Conference, where the theme was “Agents of Change, Pillars of Control”. Close to 300 delegates were present at the conference on 14 - 16 October. Guests of Honour for Global IA Leadership Summit and Annual Conference were Mrs. Lim Hwee Hua, Honorary Chairman, Securities Investors Association (Singapore) and Mr. Gerard Ee, President, Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants respectively. This conference provided a shared platform from which all participants and guests will be able to exchange their ideas and expertise to further benefit IA practitioners. A panel of distinguished thought leaders spoke and shared their valuable insights to allow IA professionals to be reenergized with new perspectives as they return to their organisations with the tools to formulate more effective strategies to achieve IA excellence.
