What is ASMR?
ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. It's a non-scientific word that an everyday person came up with to describe the feeling characterized as a pleasurable tingling sensation felt in the head, scalp, back and other regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, and/or cognitive stimuli, such as crinkling bags, hand movements, whispering, personal attention or watching someone perform a task. It's like goosebumps but much more pleasant and without the uncomfortable chills.
ASMR videos are meant to intentionally induce this sensation in the viewer, often referred to as "tingles", but the videos also serve to provide a relaxing, calming and soothing experience for the viewer. Many people who do not experience ASMR still enjoy the videos for their calming and sleepy effect.

"Fascinating," proclaims the repairman as Professor Clemmons drops off yet another of his experiments for a tune up. "You know what to do," commands the professor before returning to his quarters. This particular specimen appears to be a robot, no, an android with a real human brain having recently been implanted. But, whose? No matter, the repairman is well aware of what happens when he lets curiosity get the best of him. Better to mind his own business. The android's eyes and mouth open simultaneously with a burst of steam. The eyes tell all: she's in pain. The repairman takes a deep breath, burying his emotions. Perhaps there's more to her than meets the eye, more than just a brain and some spare parts. The professor's experiment appears to be a success. How far was he able to go this time? A loud bang is heard from down the hall. An ordinary person would be startled but the repairman is used to such things. He faintly hears a female voice, but can't quite make it out. He quietly puts down his tools, advances to the door, and presses his ear against it. "One. One. Zero. Zero. One. One. Zero. Zero." She's stuck in a binary loop. Putting the pieces together, the repairman returns to his project. All he can do is try to ease her pain. Now is not the time to turn on the professor. He must wait patiently for a better opportunity. -------------------------------------------------- A clap of thunder rings through Arkham Sanitarium, followed by the familiar "whirring" and "vooshing" of the rift opening up. Mixed feelings consume the repairman's body, as memories come rushing back to him. Today is a special day. Today is the anniversary of the repairman's first encounter with the professor and his rift. The year was E.B. 852 Z.D. Nearly all wildlife had gone extinct and the economy was a trade system once more. Those who were still left had already started to turn to cannibalism, while the wealthy had abandoned their home and were already making their impressions on another residential planet not 2 galaxies over. It was survival of the fittest. Despite being damned to a low-income area, the repairman's skills were far superior to anyone else's and made him a decent living. Before the Great Migration the wealthy would send their servants to visit the repairman on the outskirts of the city, and they always paid generously. This business was just frequent enough to allow him to save up a little and afford the occasional luxury of imported food. His diet otherwise consisted of tubers. That's all that was left of his native planet. An XR-22 transport ship cruises overhead. Some day he will have enough savings to afford a ticket out of here. Until then he will have to keep working and scrounging up valuables from the neighboring abandoned villages, although most of them had already been raided by this point. He lies down on his old, beat-up couch and stares through the holes in the ceiling. His eyes grow heavy as Qwytor, the planet's 3rd moon, creeps into sight, not knowing this would be the last time he ever sees its beautiful ochre and crimson striped surface. *CLAP* A bright, green light flashes throughout the five hundred square foot shack. Startled, the repairman leaps out of bed, his hair blowing in the whirlwind that was created by some sort of beam that suddenly appeared in the middle of the room. The beam appears to be stretching, although it's so bright he can barely see. One hand pokes through the beam and retracts. Then, in that same place, the head of a man pokes through. He reaches his hands out in front of him, and then as if holding on to some sort of fixture instead of a beam of light, he pulls the rest of his body through and enters the repairman's shack. (More to come soon...)

that's interesting cause i do Gmod comics (they're not public its for friends) and put Corvus in a couple times as a background character and once mentioned by name as being the inventor of a cure for a rare disease to me Corvus comes off like Q from star trek he can travel any reality from ours to video games and other media and even go back and fourth in time but he's never explained some one should mod him into Skyrim as a follower

Yes! It's great to see one of my favourites return. I really like the repairman as he reminds me of my grandfather who was a carpenter. As a small child he would sit me on his lap while he worked, or I would hear him Working through the night in his workshop. The repairman brings back many of those memories.

The Repairman. Known by many, in many worlds. He has traveled through rifts, seen many things, fixed even more. With his trusty toolbox there isn't anything, or anyone he can't fix. Until he met you. The enigma that is you. He has tried every method, using every tool he has, and yet is left scratching his head. But, being the best he is in this world- or any other- he rolls up his sleeves and gets to work. Even if it takes a millennia, he will figure out, and fix what is wrong with you, for he is the Repairman.

Spending my time repairing what was broken, on order or by own will, day by day. I ever my very first repair: an IBN 5100 that my late father had bought. After opening it up I proceed to file all the fine details in my head. But it wasn't perfect. The compatibility with the surroundings was next to zero, it's connection to what was then called World Wide Web slow and unconventional. So I fixed it. I made it faster, replaced it's primitive circuits with ones I made myself. They weren't prone to oxidation and processing would not be affected by its heat as much. But I didn't monitor the time and my father found me. He thought I was... *tinkering*. Accusing me of something so wild I failed to understand his words. Next thing I rember was seeing him. Holding a green plate with scallings at its side. "Your father.... He said you are insane. He said you remember useless things." Correcting his glasses he continued "I do not believe you to be crazy, I believe you are special." As he kept talking on and on he kept tapping the green mat, driving me into what felt like a narcotic state. Some words I managed to catch before my eyes shut where: Arrkham, Clemons, Professor and one more. Nyarlathotep. Fhtagn Cthulhu As it turned out my late father had send me to the Arkham Sanitarium for Mental Rehabilitation. There weren't many patients at the time. Professor Clemons, the person I met on the first day seemed to be the director of the Sanitarium. Unlike my father he seemed to understand me. He provided me with materials, with technology I never knew existed. I met the nurse.... Margaret. Oh, the nights I spent in her garden. After all this time I still remember. Of my happiest moments where those. Then I met Herr Doctor... Clemons. In the beginning I thought of him as a free roaming patient seeing his medieval mask. Up until he introduced himself to me. Time seemed to have no effect to me as I just kept repairing, correcting and experiencing new technologies. At some point I learned about the rifts. I had asked the Professor where he had found all these materials for me, so he showed me. I was amazed. Later I met creatures, similar to humans yet different. The first of them was Dave. As he introduced I was amazed as a fish out of the water. The Professor was with us at that first meeting. Before leaving Dave said "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh C'thulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn". Without thinking I replied with "C'thulhu fhtagn". Dave left. The Professor smiled and asked me "Do you know why you said that? "No.... I felt that it's the appropriate reply. I heard it the first time I met you." The Professor kept his smile. "Indeed. You are special after all to remember it after all this time." I didn't pay heed to the last comment. After all it has only been a few years. The fire came. It came and burned. Much of my equipment was lost, nothing that couldn't be recovered. It's been a long time since then. We had new professionals comming here. All of them unique. And a new arrival.... The candyman. He was an important part of my life since he brought me candy. And information. About the outside. About the time that has been spent. I am walking to my next patient. The goal is to help him relax with the reparations. The reparation of his systems. I. Still. Remember. >This marks the end of my fanfic. I hope that you will see it E.R. as I put some effort into making it. As a coincidence this took as long as the video to complete. Hence the last mark. I also made it on phone so forgive me if it seems sort as I cannot look at it from s normal perspective. This was made after reading your comment. I am awaiting the development of such a website.

Fan fic: the repairman original body was in fact that of the twin of Leonardo da Vinci who was taken by the Clemons brothers under the guise of catching the plague, they took him as he is the smarter of the two and was the one who would eventually have the technical know how to open the rifts and build the machines that make the sanitarium run, as he is human his body's must swap and in order to keep him fictional his mind is erased of all but essential knowledge although sometimes the operation goes wrong causing him to go it to his more mumbling state as he is not able to speak as coherently

The repairman walks into the room. The room is very dimly lit by a small candle upon a table. on the table the repairman sees two glasses of freshly poured red wine. The repairman calls out; “i am here? you said you wanted your muffler repaired?” he gets no response after a few minutes of awkward silence, he decides to go and sit down, on the chair neatly pulled out for him on the table. he notices a figure across from him, in the opposite seat. he hears the fabled words utter from the figures shrouded mouth: “fonsi!” he stands up, in fear, knowing what is about to happen next. “D.Y.!” he attempts to run, run as far away and as fast as possible out of the room, however the door is nowhere to be found. he runs around until he meets a corner where he stands huddled in said corner, hoping it is just a bad dream. he hears two pairs of footsteps grow closer and closer, until they stop. he hears one more sentence. one more coordinated set of sounds before he blacks out. “Alexa, play Despacito.”

Fan Fic Post: The repairman is a cybernetic organism known as an Autonomous Sensory Mechanic Replicant. He is actually a clone, one of many identical cyborgs deployed from the main colonist outpost on LV 426 known as Hadley's Hope. Built by a small team of scientists working for an off world research branch of the Tyrell Corporation, these replicant clones are all implanted with the same memories of their earlier life, and previous accomplishments, even though a new one is deployed every few months for each specific mission around the various galaxies in the operational area of Weyland-Yutani. After the mission is completed the clones are decommissioned remotely by a doctor or hunted and destroyed by a mysterious bounty hunter known only as "The Candy Man".

Saw the thumbnail, had to click, love old electronics. Nice centralab rotary switch and tubes! Especially the Coke bottle 6V6-looking tube in the first tube's box. Could be a different type, but those are actually quite desirable and really old.

Interesting... I picked these up at a surplus type of place and they had a ton of the tubes, switches, etc... for cheap. I'm not into collecting for monetary purposes. Just props..

I have a question is everyone in the rift world dead. It would explain why the proffessor and Corvus have supposedly been around since the Middle Ages and why Benjamin in one of your other videos was only 8 but looked like a grown man with tattoos that he didn’t recall getting he also states that micheal jaxon is two floors above his room alive and well just a theory though

Such and Such and Such Professor Clemons is a trans-dimensional being, in the form of a human, with vast other-worldly knowledge. Margaret and Frank are certainly undead and Corvus may be as well. Strange things happen in Arkham Sanitarium.
@cian2168
@cian2168 6 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure the professor was once a regular human but was possessed by the crawling chaos. As for Margaret, we don't even know if she's actually Margaret. She could be the professor in disguise. Corvus probably discovered the secret of eternal life at some point.

So I'm curious, where do you get these props? Are they specifically for this vid or are you some kind of electronics hobbiest? Bc the board you removed had jumper cables on the back indicating previous repair. And those tubes are vintage as well. The better question though is what kind of device uses both digital and analog devices?
