Annular Sunrise Solar Eclipse 11/03/2013

Sunrise annular eclipse from Key West, Florida 6:35 a.m. E.S.T. Key West had a weather front arrive just before sunrise which brought a bunch of low level clouds with it. Thought I was not even going to see the eclipse! I got lucky the sun peaked below the clouds. So All I was able to get was the 4 minutes it took to rise and disappear into the clouds. Of course the skies decided to clear out 2 hours later! I had the camera on a tripod but it was windy enough to blow it around which caused the video to get shaky.
Recorded with a Sony Handycam HDR-XR260V. Video edited using Sony Movie Studio 12 Platinum Suite.

Thanks clouds rolled in on us up in NY litterallyy RIGHT before sunrise and didn't clear up for us that I saw anyway ... was very disappointed so this is really nice

Did you uses filter of any kind? I was told that direct sunlight would cook the sensors. I was able to get the whole thing but I'm new to this sort of thing. I used a canon rebel Eos t3I and a home made solar filter. I also hooked it up to my telescope but could not get the full disc that easy so went to just the cam.

Wow, that's a great video of the eclipse! I didn't think it could be seen at all that far west. At time 1:30 to 1:40 it looked like a cloud in the way, and about 2:23 to 2:32 it looked to be stuck to its reflection. Interesting atmospheric effects.

Great video! While the sunrise was just below the clouds from Key West, we had the opposite situation in North Carolina, with clouds bloking the very sunrise but the rest of the eclipse was visible (see my video of the eclipse from NC: Solar Eclipse at sunrise November 3rd 2013 Frisco NC )

When I zoomed into the sun, the camera automatically filtered the light. It went back to normal when I zoomed out again. Tail end of the video when the sun disappears I faded out the video.
