Well we fast from food, what is the big deal to wait to receive and then wait till you get home. but I like this explanation

We do know what time it is. It’s three days. Canon church law tells us to fast from meat, dairy, oil, alcohol and intimacy for three days and get a blessing from from your spiritual father to receive the body and blood of Jesus Christ before doing any of this.

This is not possible for everyone. Myself, I am married to a Protestant (I am myself a convert from Protestantism) who does not like or agree with my Orthodox faith or the canons of the Church. Myself, I'd love to obstain from intimacy for 3 days prior, but I cannot because it will cause division in my marriage. My spiritual father has told me that I am not to deny my husband intimacy. Also, 3 days of fasting from meat, dairy, oil, and alcohol? Our fasting days are typically during feasts and on Wednesdays and Fridays. Your statement of 3 days before partaking in Holy Communion seems contradictory to our prescribed fasting. Please share the source of your information. I'd love to read it myself.

@@melissabarham4837correct. Fasting on Saturday (except for Holy Saturday) is canonically forbidden

My synod mandates abstaining from all food and drink (apart from water) for eight hours prior to receiving Holy Communion so as to empty the stomach fully.

There's no Canon law specifying 3 days. Please reference it otherwise.

What do sexual relations, and practices include? Is anything, any practice, alright for the Orthodox Christian?

A Christian marriage has the right of periods of praying together.
