Reaching China Border - Eastern Most Part of India - Kibithu and Kaho Village - Ep10 - AnnyArun

So this is the day we made the milestone. By reaching the easternmost part of India - Kibithu and Kaho Village. What a day it was! We both had a crash our bajaj dominars at the kibithu and on the way. Silly mistakes though. We started from Hawai, reached walong, made our stay arrangements and then head to Kibitu. The landscapes were mesmarizing. Different from what we have seen before. Amazing visuals. When we reached Kibithu we were not sure what to expect there. There is a village and army camps. Village looked mostly empty though. Sarath had his fall and no one even came to see what happened :D
We then rode to Kaho , the last village at the china border. No this is before Covid19 outbreak :D
You get glimpses of china from this side of the border. There is also a watch post where you can see china through binoculars. I was getting obsessed with it though. People of kaho were nice. Even the army guys. A good day of the ride.

Oh man ! I went for a trip to Kibithu, walong , kaho village in 2018 and it was amazing. The turquoise Lohit river , the pollution free mountains.. It must be the least explored area of Arunachal by tourists. I want to go back asap .. my mind is flooding with memories.

The road was a direct link to Eastern Tibet till 1950s. Rima town beyond Kibithoo was a major trade center. It was a better link to China than the Stillwell road.

We usually tend to ignore the places which are nearby. There was a guy in Aalo was saying like he never visited Menchuka being so close, n we have come from another corner of the country :) its the same with us. I have done all north east n North India. But haven't visited kanyakumari yet being so close 😁

I want to go solo with my self drive swift vdi car from kolkata to kibithoo, kaho in August 2021. Please give your valuable advice about......roads, diesel Pumps, hotel room, eating house etc etc. As much as you can. I will be really obliged. Is there any hotel and eating house in kibithoo and kaho?

In Kaho u wont find place to stay but there is one shop. No stay options in Kibithoo either. However stay in Walong like we did. Stay is really good in walong.. Also many hotels there. Kibithoo is just about1 to 2 hours from there.
