Such a good song and movie. When I think about it, it actually kinda blows my mind to think that if the people in this show were real that they'd be in their 50s now. Despite that I connected with the characters as a 26 year old watching for the first time in 2020. The passage of time is cruel and unforgiving and you're only young for such a short time. Honestly it might just be me but experiencing this now has helped me become a better person I think. I wish I had been more considerate of the feelings of everyone in my life until now, especially my parents given that they're around the same age the characters in this show would be now. I feel dumb for saying it now but this show helped me put into perspective how everyone goes through this sort of stuff in youth. Be kind and considerate of the feelings of people around you.
