The chain at first, representing him as a slave - feeling lost to its painful past - that finds just as much strenght as he need to fight his past. He's then inside his mind with his memories, all the innocent kids, women, men that he killed. He's blindfolded, as he is haunted by nightmares and guilt. That's what Vinland saga S2 will be about.
