Yura definitely is the unsung hero in this film. He remained quiet the entire time! Even when Ani ripped his guts out and tore him up as a man/person in the watching TV scene the night before the final scene. Yura remained flat lined in his mannerisms. Then the final scene, well you know!

Yura Borisov can be very funny. Light comedy (romcom?) is actually his strength. For some reason he gets cast in serious tough guy roles a lot. He'd be great in Zoolander, like a great artist model from Russia. He's super funny.

"The Florida Project" is my favorite, too, since the characters were far lower in the social mobility ladder than the ones in this movie and Baker protrayed them with commendable dignity and depth. I'm torn between "Anora" and "Tangerine" for the silver medal.

im so excited to see this movie!!!!!!! i keep rewatching the trailers and now i'm watching interviews before its release, which i normally never do lol. i loved The Florida Project & Red Rocket, and i'm so excited to watch Mikey!!! tbh, the only thing i've seen her in was Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, but she left such a strong impression on me, even tho she had little screentime. i'm so excited to see her in Anora, her performance looks incredible from the trailers

Anora is a short film stretched out with about 70% filler. The parts that aren't filler are good, but so much of it is just the same thing over and over until a new thing happens. Sad that this is getting hyped up as much. It's good, but it's not that good

@@alecu333 Yes the acting is good and the movie is overall pretty good, however, it's really not a movie but a short. There's so many scenes that are just filler and don't contribute to the movie other than increasing its runtime. You could cut about 45-60 minutes and the movie would be EXACTLY the same, only shorter. All the partying scenes repeat themselves over and over without any purpose much longer after their point is made. Same goes for the scenes where they look for Ivan. These scenes just keep doing the same thing over and over until finally a new plot development happens. It made me lose interest until the next plot development happened. Just saying there was a lot of filler in the movie and it is good otherwise
