Yup. That little exchange hit me hard. Pam has always owned exactly who she is, but now that she's doing this promo tour I can see maybe a bit of imposter syndrome/shame creeping in ... Mikey was so sweet to combat that head-on. Love them both sm.

@halane4790 oh yea for sure, and giving away all her energy to unhealthy relationships instead of focusing and loving on herself. to me it seems clear there's a little insecurity at Inexperience in acting especially at the end where Mikey gets into specifics of how she gets to that emotional place and Pam sort of glossed over her personal technique. like she said she is finding her voice at almost 60 years old, and it was lovely to see like she said she is so proud of Mikey for being there at such a young age

I have always been a huge admirer of Pamela, her animal rights activism, unwavering support of Julian Assange, AIDs, legalizing marijuana, etc. She has survived a lot. There aren't that many bellwethers of real change, I live in Atlanta and voting for John Lewis was always an honor, and Pamela in my mind at least is a the same for all the work she has done. I'm not claiming that I am nearly as attractive as Pamela, but people have always tried to diminish me, if you are good looking you aren't supposed to be smart, if you don't demand attention you don't have much to say, things like this are really hurtful. I still remember a 7th grade teacher telling me I didn't look smart, its is a real struggle for the world to attack you and stand strong.

The moments when Pamela touches on her past with a slight hint of shame makes me incredibly sad. This woman did nothing wrong. She has been so heavily judged and scrutinized and shamed for so much of her career. The industry and society as a whole has really abused her at times. Despite all the negativity she’s faced, she has always remained kind and gracious and thoughtful. She’s not jaded or angry or resentful. She’s incredibly strong and resilient and extremely intelligent. I hope she gets all her flowers and recognition for what a dynamic and talented actress she truly is.

Pam‘s experience and maturity contrasting Mikey’s innocence and naiveté is palpable here, especially when Mikey talks about not working with an intimacy coordinator and how Pam has nothing to be ashamed of when looking back at her career. It was a beautiful conversation, but you can only hope Mikey reflects on Pam‘s advice and realizes that this industry can be dangerous and exploitative and leave a scar, even if you might not notice it happening in the moment. In my option, there should’ve been an intimacy coordinator no questions asked. Knowing the history of Hollywood, it should be mandatory.
@Kosiduss
@Kosiduss 29 күн бұрын
can you explain what you think an intimacy coordinator does and why two consenting adults can't possibly decide for themselves they'd rather do without one?
@jennistone8740
@jennistone8740 29 күн бұрын
it’s not just about the actors/director, it’s about making sure the crew is safe and taken into consideration during vulnerable or sexually explicit scenes. This industry is riddled with stories of actresses looking back on movies they made 20/30 years ago, realizing how they didn’t understand the implications of what they were doing and how pressure heavily influenced their choices concerning nudity. Pamela OF ALL PEOPLE is one who has lived to tell the tale. This was Mikey‘s first big role, she plays a sex worker, she wanted to „get it right“. An intimacy coordinator isn’t there to take away from anything, he’s there to protect and choreograph these scenes, so crew and actors feel in control. It’s fishy to me to even have put her in a position to decide against it, she shouldn’t have been put in that position. Have you seen the movie? It’s exactly the kind of movie that requires for a young woman to have someone look out for her, regardless of the „art“ or „rawness“.
@Kosiduss
@Kosiduss 29 күн бұрын
@@jennistone8740 all of this for you not to actually explain what you think a coordinator actually does. nobody denies that intimacy coordinators are important and help create a safe environment. the insane thing is people like yourself claiming that she should have been FORCED to have one on set. this is an unhinged take, she's 25 years old, she's a full grown adult who can understand what displaying sexuality in a film entails and how to properly navigate this with her costar. this kind of swerf hyper infantilizing mindset is very misogynistic. if you actually listened to what she was saying you would understand that she didnt do it to "do it right", she did it to best put herself in a sex worker's shoes. it's not about the acting feeling more authentic it's her wanting the process to mirror as much as possible what a sex worker would do. sex workers don't have intimacy coordinators. this is the same reason why she was the one to entirely choreograph the lapdance scene. it's just her way to pay respect to actual sex workers and to make the role itself feel more authentic. claiming that she should have been forced not to do it this way is offensive both to her as an artist and to sex workers who do their job everyday without hired employees monitoring everything they do.

The ending was nice. It felt real. You can tell Anderson has been through some stuff (duh). Mikey just so soft and gentle. Felt like two zen ladies having a good convo. Nice.

This was such a great pairing! Pamela Anderson is so smart, asks great questions, and really listens. Mikey Madison has a wisdom beyond her years. It was a pleasure to listen in on their conversation and I'm excited for both their current projects.

For a very shy and quiet person, Mikey seems to conduct and compose herself very well in interviews. ♥️

These actors on actors pairings have really been hitting this year! It means so much to me to see Pamela Anderson here! Been a fan for years and it’s so incredibly moving and inspecting to see her get a chance to break the mold and remind us that life isn’t as concrete as it’s made to appear sometimes. It’s great for all of us and for her herself to bear to witness to it. Surprises can happen and that’s a great thing! Loved watching these two! Need to see her at the Oscars!

I’ll never forget I was twelve years old, One of my first celebrity crush was Pamela Anderson. Which I had a poster of her on my wall growing up and fast forward 30 years later my current celebrity crush Mikey Madison which I saw Anora five times in theaters and brought the Anora tshirt from the website. Both interviewing each other…Phenomenal. ❤
