totally agree with the Game Master series of books - very well done and useful.

As somebody who got back into TTRPG's recently and is looking to GM soon the information about a place to find good quality music is really helpful. Having never played with music in the past it's been a bit of an eye (ear?) opener as to how much music can add to your sessions.

Great video, I'm really enjoying your content. In BG3 I'm playing a githyanki blade warlock. She's been fun to play, as gith can use greatswords, so that is what she has as her pact weapon. Also used the urchin background so she can use thieves tools pretty well, no real need for a rogue.

Love BG3, and I also own and love the Game Master series! Great recommendation! Something else I have found useful for both online and in person games is Syrinscape. It adds sound effects and ambient mood to the games, I at first didn't think it would work, but my players absolutely love it. In BG3 my first tav was a githyanki pally, but I am loving my second far more - gnome tempest cleric/sorcerer - absolutely OP.

Music is really important, i usually just go for just a youtube playlist with a few tabs open for different themes. I went for a dwarf rogue for my first bg3 character - the number of difficult combats I've managed to get the drop on with a surprise round of sneak attacks is incredible. Love that the game doesn't do too much locking you into cut scenes and you can choose how you play it. Thinking I'll do a caster next time though.

For my next play through I think I want to go rogue or maybe monk

@@misfitadventurers A monk could be good, there are a few magic items I've seen that mention ki but I haven't seen any monk companions yet.

Thanks Amanda!! I’ve got the NPC book but haven’t used it much…I really should. Hope the start of your school year is going well!

Thank you! So far so good. I've got the NPC one too. I've used a bit for getting inspiration for characters, but I've used the puzzle one more. It's helpful when trying to find those unique challenge rooms to populate your dungeons with

Thank you Amanda, I really enjoy when you put out this kind of content, especially what you said about the music. Currently I'm running COS and I have been using music from KZbin, which seems okay, but I'd like to try different sources

I love CoS! When I ran it, I think I used a lot of music from Bloodborne and Dark Souls which worked well. I know the company I talked about in this video has specific bundles of occult and lovecraftian styled music that could work well too

I'm thinking about opening an Etsy store to sell physical props for D&D campaigns. Like letters, handouts and wanted posters with wax seals. Do you and your group like physical props, even if you are using a VTT and/or discord?

For my table, it's pretty hard to do physical handouts and props, but I do like to distribute digital handouts and art

Why would you want a book of non-playable characters? 😂😅

Why wouldn't you? Personally I'd like to have a selection of NPC's to pull from at my fingertips, either for inspiration or when I need something on the fly.
