Thought I’d send you a lick! Al Foster on Blue Mitchell’s “One Shirt” from Down With It. How he starts the first solo off with a bang of a phrase at 0:57. His whole comping during the solos has a kind of driving attitude to it (not sure how to better describe it, but its cool!)

Al Foster is my next lick! A cool PDD phrase he does with McCoy. He's so underrated. I might do this Foster lick as well, though. Maybe down the road? Thanks for the lick!
