Fun fact, there are groups in Africa that are MORE genetically different than for example, a French person and a Korean person. This has to do with haploid groups but basically race is a social construct. People conflate phenotypic expression with race all the time. The Rwandan genocide was based on racism even though the difference between Hutus and Tutsis was constructed entirely arbitrarily. Slight correction. This is not a Carroll county school board meeting. This was a parental rights event, the Parental Power Summit. The woman that can't define woke, is Kathryn Hart, her preferred name is Kit Hart. She is the chair of Carroll County MD Moms for Liberty. She and her little Klan are responsible for attempting to ban almost 60 books from our school libraries, including the Freedom Writers Diaries and the Handmaid's Tale. I am Native American and the US absolutely owes a great deal to our collective peoples. I’m sure there are many individual families who owe reparations but the country is more or less responsible, not individuals. There are literally treaties that the US has with indigenous nations in the US. That’s aside from the brutal and barbaric treatment and double dealing that they exercised. I would advise that dude to read Patrick Wolfe as a primer on settler colonialism and how race interacts with the oppressed and settler society.

I have to confess that I had a similar view to the caller, ie thinking that all palestinians just want to blow up Israelis (and maybe many do), but it was when I went backpacking around India and met and hung out with many many young Israelis over the course of months, as they go to India after competing their service. I was quite shocked at how horribly racist they were to Palestinians/Arabs. To say they considered them sub human would be an understatement. It was quite confronting.

Before "woke" was appropriated by the mainstream, it was basically "droppin' science (knowledge)". For example, "you sleep" just means you're unaware or ignorant of something that's relevant to your material condition. Being "woke" is the opposite of that. Usually when one is woke, they're either on 5% teachings or radical left leanings, historically. It's now so commercialized, people think being woke is using correct pronouns. The west bank has 31% israel's population, gaza has 24% israel's population, and are forbiden to move into wider israel or be citizens. Certain terms are not black and white. For example, what is an "adult"? Aging is a gradual process, where when we look at individuals, people appear on a spectrum. There are positions on that spectrum that have stark contrasts to others, and there are positions that are more ambiguous and not as easily defined. Much of the interpretation in these grey-zones is somewhat subjective. Gender is similar. The right likes to pretend that they have a definition of "woman" in "an adult female". Of course, as aforementioned, "adult" can be ambiguous, and, like gender, sex is also not always black and white. Conservatives like to think that "female" means XX chromosomes, ovaries, etc, however intersex people exist. Beyond this, the way that woman is used in society is through subjective interpretations of socially constructed cues. Matt Walsh doesn't refer to people he encounters as women based off of chromosomal evidence, observing their genitalia, or finding that they have ovaries, he (like everyone else) observes the way that they talk, move, carry themselves, dress, appear, identify themselves, etc and then builds an assumption based off of those cues.
