Shake usually feels like the one who's aware its a cartoon, which is why he doesn't care about actually solving anything or doing anything smart, it doesn't matter. All he does is make one-liners, make shit worse comedically, make things explode, and push the plot forward. He understands the only role is entertainment and there are no real consequences. If meatwad is the heart, and frylock is the brain, Shake is the skin, he holds it all together and is the thing that actually gets shit moving.
