Man, even in Yondu's first appearance, he had a very dad-like approach with conversing with Peter even if he tried hard to conceal it. You can really tell despite they don't always see eye to eye, Yondu really was Peter's daddy. Ego was only the father biologically but Yondu was the dad he needed.

Best part is the the smile at 3:09, its not because of the potential “biggest score”. It’s because yondu was desperately hoping for Peter to come up with a good excuse for yondu not to kill him. He didn’t want to kill him, but he knew that if he didn’t his crew would doubt him as a leader. So the only way Peter could live is that he give yondu a good excuse to leave him alive.

Ten years? Also he wasn't gonna kill him. He turned around literally to buy time to think of his lesson. Yondu knows Peter is going to be up to something just like he always is , so he just threatened him with the arrow to essentially say let's hang out doofus. And get me wherever you're going. Except only someone like Yondu would recognize it like this as he mentions to Rocket
@Spinosaurus44 Жыл бұрын
I think his final scene in Vol. 1 should have been included here as well because even though it's short it's very impactful and really shows us what kind of a man he is even from the first movie. It's when he opens the orb that supposedly holds the infinity stone and he sees that Peter has swapped out the stone for a troll doll, and he just looks at it smiling, not even a little bit angry. He probably knew all along that Peter would trick him, but he didn't expect the trick to be a personal gift for him which made him flash us a smile full of pride for his boy.

"No, that's not how you drive, I might be from the backseat but I can tell you've got the wrong buttons on". "If you don't go to bed BOY, I'm going to serve you for lunch tomorrow". -"Rule 101 of stealing Quill, always play on their sympathies". I admit I cried like a baby when Yondu died and the way he died. He just wanted to look ang Quill one last time to basically say he was proud of him. He was def my favorite character.

2:41 i think this is another reason why Gamora liked Quill. he was raised on the ravagers ship, one who would slap peter in the face the second they learned he wanted to help people and yet he chooses to do the right thing. i think she was really able to relate to that and its why she stayed on the GOG team and later fell in love with Quill

Yondu's deadth scene was really emotional and beautiful. I didn't get that much emotional on Tony's funeral like yondu's. 😢
