I did my entire closet in my bedroom with Boaxel and love love it! It was my first time using power drill and leveler and all of that. No directions at all! At the end, I was super proud of myself! My next project is my pantry closet!!

Maybe put another shoe tray under the pants hanger at the bottom and put flats down there

This was fun to watch. About to install this in our master closet and I'm stocked. Unfortunately they didnt have the 31 inch shelves so will wait a week or 2 to see if they get more in. So annoying. And can you pls tell me what nails you used for this?

We used 1-1/4" wood screws (it's what we had on hand). It's always frustrating when they run out of product - that happened a couple weeks ago for us with a chair (everything was in stock except for the cover). Good luck with your master closet!

Yes, we each have a bureau for those items. I try to get rid of stuff that hasn't been worn in the last year - it is very satisfying!

I was at Ikea today and so excited to see this system! Any issue on the weight of clothes if they rails are not in a stud?

No issues! You can always drill your own holes in the horizontal rails if you would like them to line up with the studs (I drill a pilot hole right through the metal and drywall into the stud). I have been doing that with garage projects.

Yes, I do! We put it in a garage once and those shelves are holding A LOT of weight.

In other Boaxel projects I was able to run a few of them right into a stud, however, I typically ended up using anchors depending on how everything lined up. All of the Boaxel projects that I have done have all held up wonderfully with no issues.

We have installed this system in five different spaces and have had zero issues thus far! The most recent one was in a garage which has some pretty heavy items on some of the shelves.

Hiya! I am wondering whether this system could be used to make a desk setup? Would it be possible to switch out one shelf for a deeper shelf do you think? Do they have special fixings on the shelves themselves?

Yes! They do sell a table top (LINNMON) and legs (504.487.38) that can connect to make a desk. If you use the Boaxel Planner on their site, the option is on the right hand corner.

Elfa has all of this same stuff that you can add freestanding feet to. No holes. Much more expensive even during 30% off sales.

Yes, it was installed on drywall (with anchors) and I have never had an issue. You can drill right through the top horizontal bar if you would like it to be on a stud (that’s what we did for an IKEA Boaxel system that was installed in a garage that would be bearing A LOT of weight).
