I've been getting smashed down by the cities and towns as long as I can remember. I always try to hide whatever people may not like behind a fence, but I drive old cars. On a good day my daily driver is enough to get a notice of violation.

Now the city doesn't go after me..... ( Oh...and I don't complain about my neighbors...( no matter how much junk he has behind his garage....sheeez...some people)).

That's how I got my 67 GMC. Buddy got a notice from the fire dept. $300. later I had a project.

The Sea Foam Green is popular and looks awesome . My 68 GMC is Red ,and my parts truck is Forest Green . It would be nice to have one like yours .

Thanks Sean! It would be one thing if stuff sat around forever. Trucks and parts are always moving around here. I just need to keep shuffling so it's never the same trucks getting complained on I guess!!

It was! I have sold almost all of the parts plus the cab already so I guess that's good. I don't like parting stuff out if I don't have to, but that cab went to a good home.

@@C10TruckNerd For some of the big items, and now days, maybe any item, since shipping has gone off the charts... There may still be networks of people who get things moved. Yesterday's Tractors, used to have a message board,, of people traveling or delivering tractors, vehicles, parts, farm implements etc. across the country. They often helped people ship items on their trip to, or from, delivering, or picking up whatever they were hauling. I haven't looked lately, to see if message boards like that still exist. That was some years ago, when I was collecting, trading buying, selling vehicles, parts and machine related items.. Back when The Stovebolt Page was only a few thousand members. Alot of people connected back then. I was one 9f the few that made it to the first STOVEBOLTERS Gathering, in Huron, Montana. That was a fun little gathering, Charlie & his wife, from Texas, Wally, from Idaho, Janeivy from Salem Oregon, a few others and some locals near Andy's place, in Huron, MT. The Stovebolt Page, that John & Peggy Milliman started years ago, has gotten HUGE since then.

A shame! That truck would have survived. Everyone uses Facebook to sell stuff now. Here's a tip. Lots of guys like me don't want anything to do with it. (It's the "Karen" of social media). That's a fact! Cross list on all other places. You'll sell more! Keep it up. From a fellow 67-72 GM. truck enthusiast. 👍

I know it! I did get a guy to buy the cab since it had a title. It's getting hard for me to find other places to list anymore. I list them on basic marketplace and then in all the truck and c10 groups. A lot of times, parking them on a public road is still the best. Where else do you list stuff these days?

67 to 72 chevy c or k cheyenne i could put in yard thursday and.pull a bare frame out on tuesday ,parts went like crazy ,the ford almost as good

I know buddy all about Karen's. I used to restore antique tractors in the garage. My parts tractors were stored in the country at friends place. They weren't the problem. The problem was I had two restored one's in back yard. It boiled down to some one that was jealous. I live in Lacombe Alberta Canada and follow your 1967 to 1972 Chevrolet, GMC trucks. My dad had those 3/4 ton trucks plus two tandem C60 gravel trucks. Must rubbed off on me. Keep up good work.

Isn't that how it works? Nice restored tractors cause someone issues. I have so many neighbors with junk cars, trailers and crud all over their properties, but we live on a double dead end dirt roads. As close as we can get to being rural. Chad, Interested in the column. Have a 70 manual I’m doing an LS swap and converting from manual to an automatic. Want column shift for it to free up floor space. But, am tall, so may need a shortened aftermarket column. Is this one tilting as well?

Chad loving the videos on how to. I notice you don't have a heater box video. I was able to remove mine, but having a hard time getting it back in. I'm going to guess that I need to remove the hood and hood hinge. I could use some direction on how to reinstall. Thanks.

I appreciate the support! I don't have one made for that but it is on the short list. You have a couple options, prop the hood up with a stick and pull the passenger hinge or pull the passenger inner fender if you don't snap all the fender bolt retainers. Thanks for reminding me to get that video made!

Not sure what state you're in but you can fight stuff like this. In PA there's good case law and the municipality has to prove a nuisance. For those in PA, look up Cranberry Twp vs R.J. Spencer. For others, it gives you the idea of things to look for. TL;DR is that the car, or parts of a car cannot by itself be a nuisance. Anything regulated and permitted at times cannot be a nuisance in itself. It's the specific circumstances around the car or parts that cause the nuisance. It's rusty metal by a sidewalk that's a cut hazard. It's rats and vermin making a home. It's leaking chemicals, etc. The state has to show how that specific car is causing a problem. Now most states have tried to find a way around, in PA it's the "property maintenance code", but that's been found unconstitutional. To restore constitutionality to these ordinances the courts read them as requiring the municipality to show the nuisance. I don't care if the neighbor's don't like the looks. If you come talk to me I'll see if there's an acceptable solution. If you call the state I will intentionally keep annoying you. However, I don't want to harm anyone. Show me where I am and I'll fix it right away as that's not my intent.

Man i need a bed for my 69 c10 longbed whoever owned the truck be4 me sprayed spray foam in the rockers firewall floor box mounts everywere there was an enclosure n i had to weld n fix the whole cab they must of worked at dap n got it for free cus they sprayed probly a thousand dollars in spray foam in the truck but now im finding they also got under the bed and sprayed spray foam in all the bed sill boxes so the entire floor of the bed is toast so now im tryin to fix it but a new bed would be so much better and easier.

@@C10TruckNerd yea they must of used atleast 30 cans of sprayfoam i filled 2 contractor bags with it so far i hate when people do stuff like that he also took fiberglass cloth and layed it down all over the floor and kick panels up behind the glove box and gas brake pedals and then layered bondo style fiberglass over the cloth fiberglass it was crazy i spent all last winter ripping it all out so i could cut the floor n all out to weld cus that stuff is flammable but i got the cab fixed n where it needs to be but im on the bed now n the guy did the wheel openings with sprayfoam n fiberglass bondo so i cut the bedside wheel openings off the truck n welded new ones on now im on the bed floor n the spray foam is in the sills and theres hole lines going across the floor above the sill boxes so im either gonna have to buy a new floor and unbolt the sides n all n bolt to new floor or just find another bed but i live in maryland where there isnt anything here that isnt rusted to far gone and the stuff that is half way decent people seem to think its made of gold cus a regular truck basic rust like the ones you get out there there arent any around here like that n the few that are people think there worth a fortune i payed 1,500 for a really clapped out truck but the frame was solid and i had a 350 for it so i bought it cus i love these trucks n always wanted one but man it became a nightmare quick but wen it comes to metal work thats my trade so i can take on pretty much anything but yea thats where im at its been a long road with the truck but i refuse to give up on it like u say im also a c10 nerd tho most of what i have is 67 impalas and impala stuff sorry for how long this sentence became.

I usually start with a series of small drill bits and work my way up to a size just smaller than the tumbler. That way I can just put a new key tumbler in instead of a whole new setup. You have to have a steady hand though.

I look on Craig's list and Offer up. Admittedly, recently I'm more of a buyer than a seller. Yes Craig's list is a crap shoot. I've found some good stuff there though. People who give their phone number are generally serious. I'm sure facebook is useful. I'm just not a fan of the platform for many reasons that I won't go into here.

I’m confused, so you’re in violation of the cities policy but that’s someone else’s fault? If you don’t like the reg’s and the city enforcing them MOVE! I live in the city limits, I have 7 cars a 2 motorcycles and I get everything to comply with my city’s rules. If someone calls the city and I’m in violation I’m not blaming the “Karen” who called I’m blaming me for not complying with the rules in place when I bought the place, rules change go to the council meetings and try and change them. Stop blaming others. If you’re not violating anything the man let them call if you are own it and fix it.
