So overall would you say this is an easier repair and would you recommend that for buying broken consoles since you can isolate the issue?

@TheCod3r Can you reflow an hdmi dsp chip on an av amplifier mate I'm from wednesbury can deliver and collect it and also an upgrade for the notoriously hot running chip that de soldiers itself so upgrade it by sticking a heat sink to the top of the chip?

Is it possible to have a Micro USB port removed off a Arduino board and have wires soldered to the PCB directly to where the USB legs were? I need to place the Arduino in a very tight space thus the cable wont fit. A repair guy local to me was supposed to do it but he's on maternity leave (men get them now supposedly )

I have a question unrelated to the video. I was working with a VGA to HDMI converter and it stopped outputting HDMI. When I put power to the board I get nothing from it but if I check the 5v line it is getting power all the way to the HDMI port. There is a cap right beside the HDMI port and it is showing 5v. What I'm not sure about is if the HDMI needs 5v or if it is supposed to be stepped down to 3.3v? Still not sure if 5v going to it would make it not display HDMI. Any help or input would be greatly appreciated. I could just buy a new one but I would rather fix this one if I can.

Trying to remove the mosfet with hot air is no easy task. Iv tried several times and no success. Firt time iv been unable to remove an smd.

How did you read the APU board the wrong way round? is the lens in the microscope the wrong way round? 😂

Ever had it will play xb1 games fine but had graphical issues with series x games and crashes??

Thanks bud. That actually wasn't cracked to be fair. I'd melted my probes by dropping one of the inductors onto them so it just looked cracked haha

Getting continuity on pins 17 and 18 on series x, is this normal?

No bud, 17 is ground and 18 is 5v, so likely a shorted encoder, esd ic or voltage regulator
