Hiya mate, I must ask as I'm a big fan & heavy user of retro Xbox such as the 360.. Whether you have ever mended one of those? That is a dream video of yours for me to see plus it'd be something new for the channel! Im sure if you look around you could find plenty of old, used & mega cheap 360's to repair 🙏🏼

What I would do mate, I would have the power wire plugged into a switched outlet, so you can handle the power supply while plugging it in, then flip the switch, and when you unplug it turn the switch off, so you can be as safe as you can be.... Just a thought.

Please revisit your last PS5 slim. You couldn't read UART because of you soldered last wire to isolated area, not to GND. It's 100% I double checked same pin, it's not GND. I mean your last video about PS5 slim which you couldn't repair.

Hey! I buy a defect ps5 that open 1 Time on 2 and shutdown by itself after 2-3 minute. Change the power supply and the metal liquid on cpu Nothing works. Sometime it wont open it beep 1 Time and I can open it 2 second after. I plug à UART tool and got some code a lot of code. Kernel panic shutdown General Power failure SSD/APU Line APU not responding blue Light flash system wont start (chek fuze f3501,F7501) thats the code that it got. CAN u help me with that please?

Revisit your last attempt PS5 slim repair please. On that video you soldered last wire of UART to isolated pin not to GND. So you couldn't get UART ERROR codes.

Back in 1970 when i was working in a White Goods store that had a TV Technician repairing all electronic gear. The technician got fed up with the boss moving the little piles of resistors ETC, the components that he had arrived to do the repairs, that the technician had placed in front of the things that he was working on. The TV technician started charging up capacitors and leaving them in the little piles as well. The boss soon stopped touching these piles after receiving several shocks.

Hi. 240v AC going in 330 DC stored ? I don't get it . I've done car electrics years ago. Is the 330v unpluged DC ? I've put a test meter on a fly tennis racket and that gives over 600v DC but doesn't cause much harm if touched. Be grateful of an en explanation. 👍

240V AC is rectified by a bridge which (sort of) swaps the negative AC cycles to positive DC ones. The average (RMS value) of each DC output cycle is 1.4 times the input so 240V AC becomes 336V ish DC once smoothed. Active PFC designs (I have no idea whether any games consoles use those) are more rocket-science and there can be up to 400V on the smoothing caps. Not so much the voltage as the current which harms, main smoothing caps can produce very high current spikes when discharged.

@ralphj4012 Thanks Ralph, I've touched and seen you tubers use tongues on the high voltage fly rackets which around 600v, I'd imagine it's not a pleasant experience to touch an DC 330v power pack, Amps are the killer right, maybe a little overkill for views that's all I were wondering 🤔
