What i want is thalls to be able to man and fire the ballista for defense, maybe even have a smaller weaker, wheeled catapult for raiding bases you can have 2 horses or a few thralls pull would be cool

Good idea about the summon thralls comand. Like a boatswain's whistle that made all thralls in an area run to you and form up in front of you for inspection. Also the alarm bell. (firstly make it sound like a bell lol) , then it could make all thralls in an area draw their weapons and be on high alert .

I'd be interested to know if a Worker Thrall has a 'Hierarchy' on filling their needs or if it's just the closest thing that would fill that need within their 50 meter radius. As an example to fill the Hunger need, would a thrall be more inclined to go to a Thrall Pot or a campfire or a preservation Boc for that food they want.

As far as I've been able to tell, and as I think the Q&A's confirm, it's just whatever source is closest, which makes life a lot easier for planning stuff out

Yeah I'm not digging what I'm hearing about how workers are going to act. It sounds like thralls are becoming a much higer liability.

Spawned in a T4 of each perk type, for each profesion last night. I was hoping for a fast rotation of workers at a station. I feel better seeing a worker at stations. Even with a number of workers for multiple stations, my stations had no one at them most of the time. We have 3 cooking sites, and three chefs, but never saw a cook go back to a station after initial prep. and cook emote. Hope it gets iron out. The concept is awesome. I build tight bases, but thats over. Cozy, easy to reach for me, makes for to many pathing issues for the worker movement's. Rethinking builds that are exspansive, but cozy😂. The worker do have a great ability to path, amazingly. Just random pathing issues can hold up 4 pluss of them , if a condition presents.

I was really hoping this would be the Age of Gods or something, but no...Instead we get another thing for the very few PvPers left in the game to worry about, and I don't even consider myself a PvPer in this game exactly because I see how frustating and meta based it is. But PvP apart I don't think this is something that a new Age should be involved around, a comestic adition, especially when we were waiting 6 months for the new uptade just to get this and two quests that gives us 2 new thralls that are called Companions, and you would at least expect that a 6 month uptade in the cocking would at least be polished, from the Devstream and the other comments I saw, this appears to be a buggy mess. And this is another point, their main priority should be fixing the inumeral bugs, gltiches, crashes, issues, and server lag in the game but they decided to just make a cosmetic addition that will be another buggy problem for the game, and of course...SELL NEW BAZAR ITEMS YEEEEEEEEEE I CAN'T WAIT TO SPEND 10 DOLLARS ON A GODFORSAKEN TABLE WITH A DIFFERENT LOOK!

Who knew this game would eventually turn into Barbie's Dreamhouse? Pretty ridiculous considering that crafters can open doors and this game has PVP that you can't lock doors specifically to prevent them from opening exterior doors in a base.

The path finding isn't quite good .. I'm not a great builder by any sorts of the means .. but first base they kept running into one another .. blocking doors and could not get where they wanted or needed to go .. so I spent a few hours a new run on a larger base.. ok a little better but not polished and still have the three stooges syndrome.. still blaming myself on yhe build .. so I tried one on one setup .. put her bed right next to her station and table sit at not far from it .. sat down ate well and thinking.. hey this might work... so she gets up and goes to sleep in my bed .. this isn't the 3 bears .. get out my bed.. this idea of living settlement has good potential but the mass scale will probably not be to well received if things go awry

I’m not excited at all for age of heroes , Because like every other update, It Is Never Tested On Consoles, we get buy Now and we Fix later (months later). Want less negative comments, then Funcom should Not Encourage such comments.

I hope the new Living Settlements system coming in Age of Heroes includes negative consequences for not meeting the needs of all thralls, especially those not in active use. While it’s great that this system allows thralls to eat, drink, sleep, and socialize autonomously, there are no real consequences if their needs aren’t met. I believe there should be penalties, such as reduced performance or even death after a certain amount of time without food, water, or rest. In addition, I hope this system can be extended to fighter thralls. For instance, archers could patrol walls, allowing guards to take shifts and rest. Guard thralls assigned to specific areas, such as doors, should move around within a set area and interact with other guards when nearby. This would add to the immersion of having a truly living settlement. Pets should also be included in this system. If stationed near water, they could naturally walk over to drink from it within a set radius. This would enhance the feeling of having a connected, living environment. I believe players should have the option to toggle these features on or off in private servers. Hardcore survival players, like myself, would enjoy the challenge of managing thralls and pets, gathering and cooking food, ensuring their thirst is quenched, and making sure they are well-rested. There should be consequences for neglect, such as a death penalty after two in-game days without food or water. I understand not everyone enjoys this type of gameplay, but having customizable hardcore settings would allow those of us who love the survival aspect to fully engage with it. This system could create a more dynamic and immersive experience, without forcing it on players who prefer a more casual approach​

Other aspects most certainly need attention, but people have been asking for more "alive" bases and thralls for many years in various different forms. Some comments by Dennis make it seem like this is a foundation for stuff added in future chapters, so by the end of the Age of Heroes it might end up being a deep and expansive system, at least that's what I'd hope for

I do feel like it's a stretch to use the phrase "deep and expansive" for any of the systems they have developed at this point. But things are what they are and with any luck mods can continue to fill the gaps for me..

I'm guessing you're a "Pvp'er" where a system like this could be a liability, but there are other Genre's who also play Conan Exiles like Role Players or Builders who would Love this type of interaction
