“Msg? That’s too many letters!! Idk what that is - I prefer salt” Me: salt has one syllable, I think that’s what you mean. “No, it’s MONOsodium, they only have ONE ☝️ “ 🤔

He got angry at some other people because they called him out on his food safety and bad hamburger making. Dave then got drunk, started a stream and accused the wrong person of "talking shit about his cooking". Dave is deeply insecure about his cooking, I wouldn't feed it to a prison inmate, it is similar to Nutraloaf in edibility I wager.

He’s insecure about a lot of things, but seeing as how stupid he is that’s no surprise.

A Kitchin Aid and a Vitamix are two of the most worth it high-end items. Oh my god, why does he start things in a cold pan? It is so aggravating. It would be better if you just start it in a hot pan.
@n0etic_f0x3 жыл бұрын
Here. Hot pan with olive or peanut oil with chicken that you seasoned correctly, Use 6-8 ounces of heavy cream not the condensed soup, use a block of Swiss you chopped into small cubes, use a seared cubbed ham steak, replace the noodles with dried/stale bread. There you go I saved the recipe.

What even IS a Kitchen Aid?
@n0etic_f0x3 жыл бұрын
@@sluttyMapleSyrup A stand mixer. They can do a lot of stuff, most commonly they can knead and mix dough which is by far the hardest part of baking. Think of it of a blender for solid food if you will.
@sluttyMapleSyrup3 жыл бұрын
@@n0etic_f0x Oh! I've never heard it called a "Kitchen Aid" before 🤣
@n0etic_f0x3 жыл бұрын
@@sluttyMapleSyrup That is the brand, Most stand mixers break quite regularly but there are Kitchen Aid stand mixers from the 80s that work fine. Same with Vitamix, blenders break all the time but a Vitamix? They can stand a lot of abuse.

A bechamel isn't a cheese based sauce. You're thinking of Mornay which is a bechamel with cheese added.
@Piterdeveirs3333 жыл бұрын
Yup, a bechamel is pretty much butter and flour turned into a roux and than milk dumped in. In it's simplest forms

Make a layered dish: bottom layer swiss béchamel, then shredded chicken, a layer of prosciutto, another (thin) layer of swiss béchamel, another layer of shredded chicken, a layer of finely-shredded gruyere, bake until gruyere starts to melt, add breadcrumbs, then continue baking until top is crispy. Voila; Chicken cordon bleu casserole.

Yo, I haven't cooked in a while and something got in my head so I cooked my first tater tot hot dish. Fresh green beans, carrot Fresh corn, onions and bell pepper One head of garlic, pressed and fried Hamburger from a friends farm Sharp Cheddar cheese 2 cans of cream of mushroom Tater tots. Boiled the corn for twenty minutes at the lowest temp. Steamed the veggies. Browned the beef with lots of black pepper and a few dashes of Worchestershire. Mixed all that with the soup and spread it into a pre oiled pan over a thin layer of crispy onion. Spread a layer of Cheddar over that and added a single layer of tater tots. Baked in the oven for 45 minutes, then broiled the top to the right shade of brown. No added salt, that condensed soup is full of it.

I'd love a "response series" of sorts where you take the dishes he's making and genuinely try to just do them better, try to make them at least palatable, preferably with at least similar budgets. So like, switching out swiss cheese for an 24 months aged parmigiano reggiano isn't feasible. With this one, like you said brine the meat, pound it, sear it, switch that cream of chicken soup out for that béchamel you were talking about, etc. Just make the same thing he is but show him that it can easily be made better with just a bit more effort and not much of a difference in price. You can use the mistakes he's making to teach your watchers how to think while in the kitchen, how to handle ingredients and how to not just rely on store-bought stuff. It'd be real cool c:

Instead of ham I would have used bacon and rendered out the fat to use to sear the chicken in. Once the chicken was done I would than remove it and add equal parts butter and flour and make a roux and I would probably used a nice white wine and chicken broth to make the sauce with a little gruyere
