I think the first sponge bob easter egg might be a double reference, awhile back, a KZbinr named Iron Pineapple played the demo version of this game and the devs responded in the comments so it might be a double reference but I could be wrong.

9:20 It's a tribute to Michael Reeves's goldfish. Michael voices multiple characters in the game including the final boss. There is a way to get Fredrick as a companion (not sure how), with his buff and description being a reference to the video Michael made with him where he bought stocks and made over $1,000.

The maid outfit description is from the beginning of Disney’s The Incredibles #3: You can find a pizza box that has the face of Peppino from Pizza Tower

The gun shell doesn’t one shot every enemy and boss in the game. Any of the husk enemies (including the Bleached King) technically aren’t killed in one shot due to the molting mechanic. The hermit crab enemies can take 2 hits to kill due to their shell blocking the damage for one hit. The final enemy that can’t be one shotted by the gun (that actually counts as not being one shotted) is the crab trap boss due to the multiple points on its body having a limited health making it so you have to damage all of them to kill the boss.

I can actually think of quite a few secrets and easter eggs that weren't mentioned in this video; most of them are just jokes or references in item descriptions or on environmental objects (I suggest everyone take a close look at the text on the boxes in the Slacktide storage room), and several other commenters have already mentioned that there's another pretty obvious "Crab Rave" reference in the form of a sad reinterpretation of that song called "Crab Grave" in the soundtrack. I'll point out that the "Mario" cigarettes are probably not just a reference to Mario, but also a play on the "Marlboro" brand of cigarettes (which the packaging resembles). But what I most want to mention is two fairly obscure shell secrets. First, two of the game's shells have the shell spell "Ring a Ding" (the bell and the champaign glass). if you use that spell 8 times in quick succession (which requires you to have near-maxed umami charge capacity), the shell will suddenly explode in a very similar manner to the "bombs away" shell spell; I think it's meant to suggest that you rang the shell too hard for it to handle! Second, the banana peel shell has a secret "slippery" property that can protect you from some unblockable attacks (possibly only the Royal Shellsplitter's grab, which is the only one I've tried it on; but I'd be surprised if there aren't some other red-symbol attacks that it similarly protects you from); if you get grabbed by one of these attacks while wearing a banana, Krill will slip out of the banana peel and evade the attack entirely, although the banana is destroyed in the process. I wouldn't be surprised if there are other "slippery" shells in the game too, but the banana peel is the only one I've noticed it for. I might also mention the Matroyska doll shell's secret property (that it contains the medium and small Matroyska doll shells inside of it, if the outer layers break or use their Decoy spell); but most people who've actually tried out that shell probably already realized that.

Another thing with the banana peel shell is that Pagurus the Ravenous is allergic to it, if you have it on, and he uses the "Fork Stab" blue move, he loses more than half hp

@@Kami._Kaze Yes; I've learned since I left that comment that that's the hint that the prawn stuck in a piece of chemical glassware in the Shellfish Corp area gives you as to how to beat Pagurus more easily, the fact that he's allergic to bananas (in my first playthrough I'd already killed Pagurus before meeting that prawn, so he didn't give me his hint).

I'm glad you can keep achievements while using the gun, because I beat the entire game on all default settings, beat the final boss, viewed the awesome final cutscene, only right before I loaded into the area after, I got a notification saying the software was closed because an error occurred. Did not save any of my progress with the final boss. Felt so good to pull out the glock and shoot his @$$ back to the bottom of the drain

8:52 I can't confirm if yours is a reference to Crab Rave, but in the semi-final boss arena before you go fight the final boss, you can hear a sound-alike track called Crab Grave, which is a somber take on the same leitmotif. The creators of Another Crab's Treasure (Aggrocrab on KZbin) have published the songs on KZbin in roughly chronological order, meaning finding their channel can allow you to listen to the song in isolation if you don't want to boot up the game to find the easter egg.

there are also many reference to the going under game besides the n64 cartridge. For example the intern skin is a reference to Jackie, the protagonist, also logos from the game start ups like fizzle, joblin and cubicle appear in trash all the time. Finally in the unfathom there are plant based hamburger patties laying around that list soy as an ingredient, and have a text like "despite popular beliefs soy won't make you more femenine, trust me bro, i already tried it" which is a reference to the memes about the impossible burger from burger king having a lot of estrogen.

Now IDK if you already covered it but the Touhou Fan game “ touhou mystia's izakaya” which recently was ported to the Switch there are two definite references in that game. Spoiler warned but after beating the main game Yuyuko(the unfortunate victim in a whole mess that’s slowly pieced together in the DLC’s she’s will remake that “Sparrows are too boney” which is a reference to her dialogue in Imperishable night where she says the same thing to Mystia… the other reference in the DLC 3 specifically the Garden of Sun area. One of the NPCs will remark that she rumors that combining two mushrooms and a Lilly of the Valley will result in the creation of a Suspicious Stew… obviously referencing Minecraft
