The trigger wasn’t baited. But it was set. I’ve got lots of cleanup to do in that area this spring. About ten trees are down from that wind storm, luckily they all missed the koolyamka dead fall.

I do feel worn out. The first couple days back home can be challenging too. But I’m settled in now and got three days of snow on the way. I’ll be chilling out inside the cabin for the most part.

Love the Viking age music! I lean more to the Celtic/Scottish but loving the sound of the Wolf Warriors. I live on a side of a mountain in Tennessee looking down to a valley towards another mountain. I didn't get too much snow this year, but it was nice while it lasted. Love the video. -Sharron

Water and wood chores mostly. Hopefully this summer I can get the new workshop and shower sauna built. (And a woodshed finally) Bad location for the existing structures due to snow drifts. I will tear those down and use that lumber for the woodshed.

It's funny..im from Winnipeg originally..lived in southern Ontario for many years, now i live near Algonquin park..we have similar snow as Winnipeg..maybe a bit warmer than there..1 thing fir certain is i love winters now! The snow is fresh and dry here mostly! Lots of winter activities to do here too!

That chest freezer can run on 12 or 23 volts or AC. The two compartments can be either freezers or refrigerators. Or as I use it both are freezers.

I bring an entire months food and supplies each time. I never go back into town but I do plan to this month. I’ve got a new sled to pull behind the work snow machine. And it won’t get here unless I go to town. It’s a 50 mile round trip. Through the mountains and across many water features. A bit sketchy when you’re doing it solo.

I never see hunters, hikers, snowmobiler’s out here. If I came across someone they would probably need help because people just don’t come this far out, especially in this terrain. Snow is on the ground from about October to June.

I prefer winter over summer. Mosquitoes aren’t too bad up on top of the mountain due to the winds. It’s the bears that worry me in summer. That and it’s harder to get around in summer due to the brush and terrain.
