Unlike a child Georgie has claws, I hope. I imagine that the cat would make confetti of that bag if needed. Pet supervision however is always a good thing. Best wishes from a fellow George in Leeds. Glad to have found your channel.

The roof looks great - and yes, my cat loves watching nature documentaries with me, especially when there are little animals moving around. She tries to catch them on the screen. Although, she hasn't watched you yet. I have to introduce her to your videos. Who knows, she might get hooked.

Thank you 🙏 and I'm so pleased to hear about your cat loving to watch the little animals on documentaries 😺 did you know if you type "cat TV" in youtube, you can get loads of videos made for cats to watch! Both our boys especially love to watch the ones with mice in! Sometimes if we are going out foe a while, we put one of their videos on to keep them amused because the videos are many hours long 😺😂

I think it's cute and funny that you leave cat videos on for Nigel and George when you leave the house. Somebody once told me about a family whose cat loved sleeping in the living room at night. But, unfortunately, he also always peed on the sofa when asleep there. So, what did they do? Instead of not allowing the cat to stay in the room anymorr, they carried the sofa out every evening!!! People with animals, does it get crazier than us? Is there hope for regaining sanity? 😵💫😳

Hi Rich, I have been watching your videos for several months. Awesome. I don’t have a dollhouse but recently started work on a simple one room log cabin. Much research but I am having soooo much fun. As you mention with your work your mini people jabber away at you when you should be sleeping. I have the same problem but my family is from Sweden. I don’t know how to speak Swedish and they have not learned English yet! 😮 For them the year is 1835. Love your videos. Joyce from Pittsburgh PA USA

I like the slate roof and the beautiful ridging so much. I had a real life slate roof on my 1920 house in New York State, so it brought back fond memories. I've never seen a dolls' house with real slate! What's next? Who cares? We all care!

Your attention to detail is amazing! I love that--not only did you put on the lead flashing--but that you took the time and effort to "tuck it into" the brickwork of the dormers by cutting out little notches. and the Nob Hill Neighbourhood makes a wonderful backdrop

I prefer the look of slate tiles, brick strips, etc, to wall and floor paper when you are doing the exterior of houses, and the same for flagstones and ceramic tiles - it makes it look more realistic. I love dry stone walls and sandstone buildings that you get in the Peak District and the Yorkshire Dales so anything similar with dolls houses I love too.

Yes, I agree with you completely. Using the real materials is just like the real thing, and they can look fantastic. Of course it's a problem if you can't afford the real thing! But it looks amazing when it is used.

Hello Richard, the roof looks marvelous, I love the the roof slates and the real lead flashings around the attic windows, it really finishes the slate off beautifully, don't forget to do around the chimney stack too, the only thing missing now is guttering lol. I'm looking forward to seeing what else you do with the house. Best wishes to You, John and the Kitties from Yorkshire 😊
@RichMiniatures6 ай бұрын
Hello Diane, glad you enjoyed the video. I wondered if anyone would mention lead around the base of the chimney breats, but it's not logistically possible because of how the roof joins the body of the house! When you lift the roof up to look at the attic rooms, the roof section moves but the base of the chimney doesn't. And the two sections are so close together, that there is no space to fit it! If I remember, I will show this in the next video 😊. And I'd already imagined guttering which would have looked fabulous, but because its a commission, I have only budgeted for what has been agreed on. And I've already spent a lot extra on lead flashing which wasn't in the budget 😏 I could go mad and do a lot of extras like that, but it ends up not being worth my time!

So pleased to see a brand new video. Can I ask where do you buy your slate tiles and ridge from. Many years ago I built a dolls house the same size as the one you are doing and used Richard Stacey’s which cost a fortune. I need to buy them again but don’t want to spend that sort of money again. Hope you don’t mind me asking. Very good video Janet Emery

Maybe wear gloves the next time you handle lead. I watched you touch your mug quite a bit before you washed your hands, and having cats around that can be touched by mistake also or get residue on their paws. It really gives a great effect, though hopefully never gets in the hands of children unknowingly. I AM a huge worry wart sometimes, who knows, who cares 💛
