This is another fun rut pit video featuring Grumpy of Alaska, and his harem of cows. He has more than he knows what to do with. The boss cow stays busy running the other cows off, and the others just want in the pit with one exception; a cow who seems quite smitten with Grumpy. Some interesting behavior here showing the tender side of a dominant bull moose. Enjoy!

The opening with the two was beautiful. Grumpy travels , makes his grunting love calls no girls. Then all he has to do is dig a pit and stomp his hoof then they all come out of no wear , surprise surprise !! 👍👍😊

I'm with everyone else, the beginning is extraordinary 😍...Bravo Team MooseMan!! 🤗... Looking good there Grumpy!! 🤩...he was sure working that pit, 😂..Cows were lovin' it...😂🤗...& no one likes a party crasher, 🤭😂... especially if your competing for the same thing, 🤣...but those cows are entertaining, I mean really, I kinda feel sorry for Grumpy 🤣😂🤣😂...& yes, I did notice Grumpy tilt his head away from the cow, 🤗😍..what a gentleman he is!! 🤗😍🥰...& the end of the video, that was pretty special with Grumpy & one of his cows, loving up on each other, 😙😘 that just warms my heart ❤️...Ty so much Team MooseMan, another great job well done!! ...& Oh, about the snow down our way, it all changed into rain...so no snow ☹️...maybe Christmas ☃️...enjoy your weekend!! 🤗🙃😋😊

Awww thanks Ontario! Yeah, we thought those were some special moments with Grumps and the cow there. Love was in the air, while behind them that boss cow was still running everyone else around like crazy. HA. We got our 8" of fresh white stuff...We'll send some up your way. First, I have to say that I LOVE the silhouette images in the beginning of the video, just beautiful ❤️ Second, those gals get vicious when it comes to sharing their man's attention! Lol And lastly, and the best of all is seeing the gentleness from Grumpy, the extra attention and care to ensure he doesn't hurt his sweetheart with his antlers. Watching the sweetness between the two is beautiful, it's hard to understand that they are aren't the type of animal who stays bonded together all year long, and throughout their lifetime when they show such affection. That to me reflects as a soulmate. Makes me feel a little sad for them, to come together once a year for procreation purposes, only to live such a solitary life. Just another reason that I love wildlife, to learn from them and appreciate them as they are.💗 Thank you for another wonderful video you two, I love what you do!! Have a very Merry Christmas 🎄

Wow, Kat, thanks so much for your incredible comments and insight and observations. After filming Grumpy now for 5 years consecutively, we have watched him grow and mature from the rather rank individual he was upon first meet (why we named him Grumpy; that video is here in our channel...I'll go look for it and get you the title/link. Those were early film days but wow, he put on a show! Anyway, since then he has become the BEST bull to work around. He gives is up, has never ever dropped an ear at us. And the ladies love him. He gathers more cows than any other bull around. It is sad that they live a lonely life outside the rut; they never herd. And this harem gathering is pretty much unique to parts of Alaska. It simply doesn't happen here in the northeast. So glad you appreciated the art of the silhouette start, I was all over that when Rick showed me he got that (I was filming from the angle with more light at the time.) Yay hubby!! Thank you Thank you Thank you, Kat as always. And you have a very very Merry Christmas. We'll have another video on Christmas morning. XOXO!!!
