Do You know of any Glow "worm" insects that can appear in the american content other than railroad worms?

Well, there are other lampyrids (both larvae and larviform adults may be considered "worms'). There are also some closely related beetle groups, but I don't think they occur in the Americas. Some elaterids, however, do. There is e.g. Phyrophorus and Deilater even occurs in North America. Their wormy larvae can glow. Among the dipterans glowing Mycetophilidae (their larvae are the famous "glowworms" in caves of New Zealand) also come to mind. There is Orfelia fultoni in the USA e.g. ... If we are also talking South America and non-insect invertebrates, there is a bioluminescent earthworm (Microscolex phosphoreus) that was introduced to other regions (maybe including North and Meso America?)... There are also glowing centipedes in Germany. I dunno, if they are also found in the new world.
