"Mmm...snack." - A Dingus, probably. P.S. A couple notes (so far): 1. I absolutely did not do the Ride or Die Squad justice, and I apologize. 2. While writing, recording, and editing, I forgot that Oprah was canceled in 2023.

This may sound silly but Godzilla would make a fantastic character for ssbu or some epic monster from the monster verse like king ghidorah

I'm 99% percent confident the Legendary version will make it (or would have made it) into Multiversus, since they included the Iron Giant. It's great promotional material for the movies, and the Legendary Godzilla is kind of a Warner Bros/Legendary character. But yeah, who knows what the status of Multiversus is at this point.

The roaring sound of Godzilla in the Minus One uses the original Godzilla sound source, which is said to be a national treasure. The sound source is played at high volume through a huge speaker installed in a baseball stadium, and the echoes are recorded. The reverberating sound echoed through the roofless stadium, allowing Godzilla's roar to be recreated in theaters with an unprecedented sense of realism.

How is it that in 2023 we get a movie about the inception of the atomic bomb and the inventor claiming himself to have become dead, and then across the ocean, we get another about the aftermath of that bomb and the devastation it wreaked from a Kaiju? What a time to be alive!

Immediately after the Tokyo air raids in 1945, approximately 120,000 orphans were left behind. Therefore, there were many patchwork families. Godzilla Minus One remains in your heart because it is a story based on these historical facts.

There could be a whole separate video covering these real-life facts used in the movie, to better do these people justice.

In addition a tip on top of your thoughtful content, The reason why Godzilla's behavior is unnatural. (In the first place, Godzilla's existence exceeds the rules of physics and biology. That's why people are afraid of Godzilla.) Godzilla is TATARIGAMI as mention Takashi Yamazaki in a interview, TATARIGAMI is a spirit (high-dimensional being) that continued to be feared even after it died a violent death as a human. There is also a theory that he is the incarnation of a heroic spirit who died during WW2. (TATARIGAMI is also depicted in Ghibli's Princess Mononoke. The black stain is common in both films.) Although TATARIGAMI is a wild spirit and is feared and shunned, if it is carefully enshrined, it can become a powerful guardian deity. They are the gods that are worshiped.

Interesting. Was this similar to the idea used to fuel the Godzilla from GMK? If I remember correctly, that one was explicitly named as a vengeful spirit from WW2 (or a collection of vengeful spirits).

People are treating this movie like its the second coming, but I think its mostly because of the budget efficiency comparisons to American blockbusters. It was good, but I'm not getting all of the overly hyperbolic praise. The emotional parts had almost no impact on me, and I'm usually very susceptible to a good cry in movies if I care about the characters. I think the overly melodramatic writing and acting didn't appeal to me. I also felt that way too much time was spent on the pilot kicking himself in the ass over and over with all of the on the nose dialogue. This movie on paper seems like it would be my jam, but it didnt click for me like it is for so many people.

Just Fyi, they were mechanics at Odo island, not soldiers.

Day 1 review impressions are always a little fuzzy. That makes a ton of sense - thanks for the clarification. :)
