I've said it before and I'll say it again: if Ethan Ewing doesn't win a world title, ideally multiple, it will be the WSL's fault, not his. Giant, flailing airs are cool once in a while, but if you ask 100 surfers who on tour they'd most like to surf like right now I think a huge majority would say Ethan Ewing. I just hope the WSL gets around their need to appeal to a mass, non-surfing-educated audience and starts judging him accordingly.

one thing I noticed is that WSL refuses to hype EE like they do all the other top surfers. Like he never makes highlight reels, never in features, etc.

@@alang253 Because he's mellow. Because he doesn't force things. He's not a "look at me! look at me!" kind of guy. But in the long run, he'll be more respected for it.

Absolutely! He’s a style master for sure. Reminds me a little bit like Tommy Curren. We’ll see his style isn’t really what the judges are looking for at the moment.
