I think Academy Guide will be used as a set up for Dungeon Guide next turn. I only wonder how many decks would play that combo at the top tables at my locals. And I wonder how I could I counter those plays. It's great that we have more generic protection cards for slower decks too. Any cards to slow down hyper offensive decks is a great help for me.

Just to be sure - Academy Guide doesn't reduce the cost of Dungeon Guide's level up effect - but it would work with an effect like Beseech the Winds! But I can see some decks playing both still!

@@MaindeckGames Oh! That's great then. I thought that the game is jumping straight into the fast lane when they introduced Academy Guide. Now she just sounds like an alternative to Dungeon Guide. She's still good but more balanced in my opinion.

@@aizenvermillion434 Yep, I think most commonly a deck might run one or the other, or neither still. Academy Guide is better for value over time if she can be protected, while Dungeon Guide is better for tempo, sometimes at the cost of cards. I'd be 100000% with you if they worked together like that though 😅

Nice foils however 3 per box feels no where near enough, 6 would be better, 1 every four packs.

Like he said in the last box opening video, the foils being so sparce helps them keep value, and makes pulling one that you want much more exciting.

@@Bound2Asgard How would adding 3 not encourage your point? I maintain my argument, 3 is nowhere near enough. Its likely one of the stingiest distributions of foils of any TCG. Collectors for the most part will not be interested in 3 per box.
