I've always told you miniature orchids 24:40 are spectacular bloomers! They may be small big put on big shows. My oncidium Twinkle Red Raspberry has 13 spikes on it now, and expecting them to actually open early next year since they take their time to mature. 😅

Wow! That’s an awesome addition to your collection! It’s going to look fantastic when it settles in 🙌🏾 That ‘floppy’ Dendrobium tip could be too much calcium nitrate..the only reason why I know is because I just literally dealt with the same thing and I couldn’t imagine why they looked a little leggy if you will at just the tips. It could also not be the reason too. But hopefully that helps 😁 As always, thanks for taking us along with you!!!! 🌺🪴🙌🏾 Take care Nelson
@naturenelАй бұрын
Hmmmmm calcium nitrate? I had another viewer tell me it’s due to lack of calcium. lol! The two polar opposites. I did just do a major feeding and added sea kelp for strength and Cal-Mag for the crazy heat. This is the first time and it’s happening in a very hot summer. Let’s see what happens as it gets slightly cooler. Thanks for the tip. 👍🏼
@OrchidboyTroyАй бұрын
@@naturenel they can also be correct. Because that would have been my second guess. Calcium and calcium nitrate are two different nutrients. My fertilizer is mixed in two parts so I can control the calcium nitrate and well you guessed it, I got carried away at the beginning of the season and was really socking it to them.

And Mahalo for the shoutout 🥰 Jeremy sent you a really nice magnum and yes, it does smell like detergent right? But in a good way, not overpowering. Once again I loved this video, your reaction when you opened the box was priceless. Keep the videos coming 🤙🏽

Hi Kelly! Glad you liked it. Thank you for the compliments. Definitely you need a bat flower plant in your garden. I’m sure you’ll find space. We always do. lol! I was not expecting that at all. I’m going to feed more Cal Mag. It may be the heavy heat. Some viewers pointed that out. 👍🏼
@kathleenhoughton6129Ай бұрын
Hi Nelson I hope my comment helps you but it's a thought 🤔 that with the weather you were talking about is perfect for massive Dend. Growth!! So my suggestion is to feed them heavily with Calmag and the seakelp with a dash of Epson salts in-between your normal feeding it will make a huge difference for you and strengthen the plants growth. Great video and I love your extensive collection, it's amazing 🎉!!

No te se decir porque no tengo la orquídea físicamente con migo. Puede ser un insecto “Thrips”. Cuando le salgan los botones, antes que habrán, echale un producto llamado SEVIN. Se vende en Home Depot o Lowe’s.

Do you have any issues with venomous or poisonous critters getting in and around your plants that you need to watch out for? Do the cats try to eat or knock over your plants?
@naturenelАй бұрын
No and no. Although I live very close to the Florida Everglades, it is extremely rare to find any poisonous critters around my area. The cats don’t really bother the plants cause they have so much to play with. They love climbing up the crop trees. They do take care of rats and iguanas. 🦎
@elizabethdavis4202Ай бұрын
I have a couple of dendrobiums that have floppy leaves. I thought it was from a lack of water, but now I'm not sure.

Try Burnham nurseries, Lawrence Hobbs and orchid Botanics. I also find the German nurseries are still sending to the UK with no extra cost than pre brexit. Not sure how long that will last though. I feel customs on both sides are just ignoring the whole silly debacle…
