By the time I contact someone, they are out or don't have what I want. Awesome sculptures!! I have several mini ones from yrs ago from the AOS. They are done with colored material and look amazingly real!!! Just Tiny! 😘 I have an oddball Twinkle "red raspberry" that now thinks it's ok to bloom year round now. Hi Nelson , you need to see if you can obtain Sarcochilus , they flower in September, there small plants with lots of flowers with excellent sent , they come in a range of colours. You might have to ask a nursery to see if they stock them as they an Australian native . Barrita orchid’s do export flask to U.S.A
@naturenel Жыл бұрын
They are beautiful. They are native to Australia. We don’t see them here much. I believe they may do better in slightly cooler weather. Here in Miami it goes up to 90’s plus. I’ll keep an eye out at the international shows. I know Ecuagenera sells the Sarcochilus Madge 'Free' x 'One' which is intermediate climate. I May give it a try.

@@naturenel muaaaaa mi niño hermoso saludos por casa.
the sedirea japonica was a good choice. Hope you didn't forget it in the greenhouse. It was funny you had just picked it, showed the tag and then you came across 2 hybrids of it in krull smith's private stash right after without realizing and then the phal little one towards the end is another hybrid of the sedirea japonica. It's a cooler growing phal, can tolerate temps down to 12 degrees C in winter so similar temps than a cattleya walkeriana but needs less light. It can be grown warmer too, it's a light sensitive phal so flowers in spring, once a year for just unde a month. Not nearly as long lasting as modern hybrids but it's a miniature and worth having for the fragrance. Not the easiest to grow though, you might need some patience for it to settle in and any stress it will skip flowering which can mean no blooms for 2 years if that happens.
