Some future day when the girls are little old ladies they will reminisce about the fun they had at Grampa and Grandma Gordon's farm when they were young. Priceless, sweet memories of horses, kittens, summer days, hay and gardens and time spent with loved ones.

You guys would be crazy to ever sell Bree. She is one fine trusting filly who has conquered the rock steps and will follow you in the house. What a horse she will be when an adult.! She is a good willing girl. Course I caught the old video of where Lady slipped in the mud and fell over and laid there so I think having a momma with a good mind is 100% part of having a good foal. ❤❤❤

I checked the comments and all things covered. Ah ha.😄 My favorate part was Levi's girls (with g.ma) going through the corn field, that was awesome! , the corn looks great!, that one cob was huge already! Your granddaughter/s is like a little excavator digging up those potatoes. So precious these moments. Thank you, thanks so much for sharing. Bre is a smart whipper snapper, that face she made was so funny. :-) Good job Jim fighting through the clogs cutting and nice ash roll pan. You may consider blowing some high moisture spoilage into a horizontal ground silo using the same white plastic, fills it like a hot dog sausage. . High moisture silage chop and blow.

Your visits with your grands have brought back memories. When I was a kid, my two older brothers would go stay with my grandparents for a week, we'd swap out on the weekend, and then my sister and I would have our week with them. I was wondering when Bree would get to come into the house...such a fun surprise! (We didn't have a pony at our grandparents, but we got to play with our uncle's dog...almost as much fun!)

Your little granddaughters are so pretty! I'd say they have really enjoyed being on the farm and helping with the chores. So cute seeing Bree visiting the kitchen and tasting her first few bites of apple!!! Your potato harvest is very good, Brenda!! As Jim was mowing that luscious green field, it made me think of the folks down in the drought-stricken southern coastal states and wishing they had beautiful hay to cut for their livestock. I pray somehow they can find enough hay to feed their cattle and horses thru the wintertime. Thanks for another beautiful day on the farm!!!🥰

To funny watching all the ins and out of farming. The grandkids give your heart some excitement. I dug my potatoes yesterday and I was happy with the results. I even had potatoes come up from last year. I think I can have enough for three dinners for my husband and myself. Ha, ha! We are back yard gardeners. Gardening helps with the arthritis. Keep moving they say - Corn is 85 cents an ear down my way. I buy a dozen and put 6 ear of corn in the freezer for the winter soups. Peppers are not producing this year. I have planted a dozen plants and although they are green and happy with flowers I have no peppers. I do have cabbage and Broccoli coming along. I started my Broccoli from seed way back in early April. I planted them in late May in the garden. Have you tried Lemon Cucumbers? So far I have picked two four inch balls from the plants I start in April. Last year the taste was citrus this year no taste. Take care Farm Family, see you at Shelburne, Vermont.

I am glad the rain has provided for you the fruits of the earth. Even if it a bit more work. Im sure that a lot of us in Texas are clamoring to buy hay from farmers that have it. The drought here is looking like a long term issue. Thanks again for sharing your farm, family, animals, and bounty with us. I have secretly hoped to see a horse in the house again! In moderation, of course. Thanks for sharing the blessings again!

I wish I could get you some Rice sickle guards to fit your mower. They are shop built. The bottom, or guard, is about 8 blades long ,the blades are tapered holes on the flat side and run flat sied up with the bar on bottom and the bar is welded to arms that bolt where the guards bolted. Then the sickle bar is bolted on top of the cutting sickles with their flat side down sliding on top of the guards which are flat side , cutting side, up. So we are running them cutting side to cutting side sliding on top of each other. No guards at all. We have hold downs that bolt over the bar and The sickle Just slides under the hold down And your pressure is adjusted with a hammer just tapping to bend them down or up. We run Hold down about every fourth guard location. We do this when the rice blows down, they will not clog up.
