The state of gaming has definitely been something to say the least lol especially multiplayer. Thankfully I'm mostly a single player type of guy anyway and just like you said, we've been thriving off of quite a few amazing single player games these last few years , and it's still going, but if it wasn't, I sure as hell probably would not he gaming, if at the least, I wouldn't be focusing on newer games period and most likely focus on building my retro game collection with PS1 and 2 stuff and continue finding new things there lol. It's gonna be interesting seeing how gaming is in 2024 and 5 cause i got a bad feeling we're gonna be having a drought anytime soon in those years, a lot of games have been releasing this and last year that got delayed heavily or worked on long time in the background. It's only a matter of time before most of the big studios take multiple breaks at once and we gotta wait for a while lol . Hopefully it isn't as soon as i think it is , especially with games these days taking longer cause most being bigger and graphic heavy, it's gonna have to happen sadly lol. Respectfully, I feel like this video is way off base even though some valid points were made. While it's up to you regarding how you operate your channel, I think we need to be better. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong: 1. I can understand not liking TLOU2 story or the HBO show (which I had low expectations for) but I genuinely feel like a lot of people (you included Gamer) seem to be uncomfortable and bothered by those products and the beliefs of Naughty Dog. I'm apolitical but even if I was a conservative (not saying the people in question are to be fair), I can't imagine taking it that seriously. 2. Naughty Dog since the launch of the PS5 has definitely been disappointing, but until a new game comes out, it's premature to say they fell off. The Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy "remasters" hardly improved upon the PS4 versions and TLOU1 remake is overpriced and arguably wasn't needed. This ties into the first point. It also seems like a lot of people bought into the flak that ND caught and all I have to say about that is Jason Schreier knows what actually went down and I think Mitch Dyer admitted some stuff also. 3. People can say what they want about Destiny and the Bungie of today, but Bungie is literally among the best regarding operating a live service. Destiny makes money and is active. Naughty Dog is a top-tier developer but they've never made a live service before, and their only quality multiplayer games were Uncharted 2 multiplayer and The Last of Us. I don't play Destiny but we need to be fair. For all I know, the game could've been quality still but wouldn't be financially lucrative enough especially long-term, whether it wouldn't work out well enough monetizing it, it's too niche, or it lacks "replayability". 4. I'll see y'all when ND's next game drop lol.

They could always release an expansion with live service elements later. Chasing these live service games can definitely become a problem. If all these other rumored single-player games are as close to being completed as these credible leakers have suggested, things aren't all gloom and doom. The problem is that this has affected a multiplayer game that we all have fond memories of and would like to see released. Speaking of these single player games that are close to being completed. It's b******* if they withheld them from the Showcase. Unless they pull some miracle two showcases in a year, Jim Ryan is more than just FN up right now. He's FN up the future.

From what ive read it seems Bungie caused them to reassess the project because the thought it wouldnt be able to keep players engaged for a long period of time…so hell if its bungie we are talking about then im all for it, look at Destiny 2’s views on twitch that game has and keeps thousands of viewers for a long ass time, they can take more time if they need, if they can keep us playing for years to come then hell yeah let them cook.

Destiny is nowhere near as big as it should have been. It has a dedicated community yes, but a lot of people have long ago moved on. And on the other hand destiny at this point is known way more for PVE than PVP. Nobody really cares about destiny on a competitive level which is what factions is. Why the hell factions NEED to be a live service game anyways??

Bungie consulted on all of the service games that are being worked on at Sony. They adviced Naughty Dog that they needed more in order for their game to have long term player engagement. All naughty dog games have failed the player engagement test for long term. Yes even factions. And yes definitely Uncharted 2. It is spot on criticism if we are being honest.
