The weapons, aside from the AR, are nothing like the old Bungie weapons, the Warthog is the Halo 4/5 gas can version, half of the grunt models use the 343 horrible armor style, the Brutes look nothing like the Bungie designed ones, heck they even changed the Halo architecture to have Minecraft pillars instead of scaffolding and beams underneath the surface (last mission of Halo 3). Only the Elites and some of the grunts look like their old incarnations, but that is about it.

The infinite Brutes look like pure Planet of the Apes rejects when in reality Bungie designed Brutes to be a mix of many different animals including apes, rhinos and bears. Their characteristic prominent teeth are also completely missing for no reason. This is like designing an Elite with normal mandibles instead of split ones, again for no reason at all. "Vanilla halo 2/ halo 3 and reach brutes were all extremely stupid looking without something to cover their faces." - Okay this is just hilarious, you realize the entire reason why the "Craig Brute" thing became a meme was because people found the Infinite Brutes to be very stupid looking, right? "Yes there are many new weapons which all have familiar halo 1,2,3 and reach style aesthetics and models." - Care to give some examples aside from the AR and BR? The Plasma Rifle looking thing looks like it is from Halo 4 or 5, the Plasma Pistol looks like it's from Halo 4 or 5, the new UNSC rifle, shotgun and pistol look like they are from a CoD Black Ops game, the Brute weapons look like they are either cut from cardboard (the Mauler) or reskinned from Promethean weapons (the launcher thing). "Or DMR in halo reach ect." - The DMR looked like a Halo weapon, it had a Halo-like color pattern instead of a conventional military green, a Halo-like scope that integrated into the user's HUD instead of a generic red dot sight, a Halo-like reload animation, and most importantly a Halo-like sound effect. The DMR was also supposed to be a BR prototype in case you forgot. "Were you whining about them then?" - No because even though Bungie redesigned the entire Halo sandbox in Reach they still managed to retail all the right touches that made them feel as if they were part of the Halo universe, despite many of them being prototypes of weapons and vehicles from future games. 343 doesn't have a clue how to design assets that look like they belong in the Halo universe and this has been blatantly true since Halo 4.

First thing that came in my mind after chief stepped out of the pelican was halo CE's second mission where you step out of crashed lifepod. I also liked halo 4 story and some other things and even grew to like some aspect of new art-style but imo halo infinite art-style is totally different compared to it and H5. There are SOME similar aspects in halo infinite, i won't deny it but overall imo it felt much more like original halo than that of 4 or 5. Also why that needs to be a bad thing is totally beyond me. It IS halo. They are going to finish graphics that were flat in gameplay demo for launch and then it will be even more beautiful and feel even more like original halo. Bungie wanted Halo to end after 3. They didn't even want to make Reach. They were contractually obligated by Microsoft to make another game and the only thing they wanted was more Halo. They made Reach, a prequel, so they wouldn't have to continue their trilogy forward.

Halo definitely looked rough, I have seen shots of Halo Reach and Halo 2 Anniversary and they look way better. I understand that it will be more open world but even the Xbox One should run the version of Infinite we saw, just look at what God of War, Red Dead Redemption 2, Spider-Man, Horizon, Shadow of Mordor (early current gen), Batman Arkham Knight (early current gen), Dragon Age Inquisition (lol). There's 0 valid excuses as to why Halo looks the way it does, other than bad leadership and/or 343 (collectively) can't produce a high quality experience. That being said the best news from the event was 1. Fable being made by a developer that is use to making beautiful and large worlds, they just need to hire good and humourous writers. 2. Obsidian is working on a rpg that looks to be their take on Elder Scrolls 👀🔥 3. Rare continuing to makes games, their new game looks great now we need to see gameplay. Problem is the first 2 games are obviously not happening until 2022. Rare's game should be 2021, if not at launch. Disappointing event overall. Were it not for those 2 first things I listed I would give this lower than a 5/10

Bruh. The first time I got my ass whooped hard by my mom was when I STOLE money to buy halo reach for my Xbox. I stole from my hardworking mom to buy this game. All my friends had it. Everyone I knew. I was pressured into it. I learned my lesson and my angel mom let me keep the game after I broke down in tears and told her everything, how much I wanted it, how much it meant to me that everyone kept bugging me about it, I loved halo reach. It was my favorite game for years. This franchise was what kept my friendships (when they turned long distance) together. Forge made me forget my bad grades and was a place for me to escape to, a place I can build entire worlds and play with my friends. Now after high school, collage, job, and multiple relationships. I'm horrified. I just want to play something that can spark my creativity into the raging wildfire it used to be. I pray for halo infinite but I'm going Ps5 because there's just so much going for it. I WANT this game to succeed and only time will tell. If even two months after it comes out, it turns into something like that. I'm buying an Xbox x. If not. Then you'll catch my ass swinging through NY without a second thought.

Sony has about two-ish open projects with no release windows, most of these games had no release window which tells you all you need to know. Actually current Fortnight is pretty good looking to be honest. It took them a while to polish and three years to get out of BETA but it does look nice. I run it at close to max setting in 4k. Beyond the graphics Halo Infinite had a startling lack of polish in just about every area.

Coming in as an Xbox Fan (Yes I play and love PlayStation as well, I love gaming. Period). Just gonna sum the show up from my point of view, no fanboy BS. The show today was solid, it was alright. The problem is, Xbox needs to start taking big shots, doing alright isn't going to win a lot of new hardcore fans. They needed a few bangers, looking great, playing great. They needed something to get people EXCITED about next-gen. This didn't do that. What Xbox has shown is that they got a great breadth and depth of content coming down the line. They really are hitting on games for every gamer. Us hardcore games want to see the great big AAA epic experiences and they haven't shown much of that but everything else in between, they got you covered. I feel really good about Xbox going forward, I know I will be playing and joying a lot of the games they got coming out. They need to bring some big heat though. They need some home runs. They have to nail their big first-party games and nail the medium ones too. This show was alright but it needed o be great to get people really excited. They didn't do that.
