How is she not the most famous person in nashville? Because she can read write and compose MUSIC she can sing AND she is a real MUSICIAN and that has no place in popular "music" today! ❤🎸🎻

The only thing mean about Mean Mary is that she picks a darn mean banjo... while bringing us enjoyable music with a happy, infectious smile and genuine passion for her music.

Fantastic!! As a fellow Deering banjo player, I know how challenging it is to play like you play while singing the melody. Your voice strikes me as a uniquely beautiful blend of my favorite Irish singers (like Mary Black, Cathy Jordan, et al), 60s folk-singers, and then something that's uniquely your own. What a treat!!

Mary, You are an amazing talent & always easy on the ears. Your smile & easy going nature make you a friend I never met. God Bless you & your family. Stay Real.

Mean Mary smiles and so does her music. It`s so enjoyable for me to watch a musician play an instrument and sing not needing any backup. Well done. I noted reading comments about The Dead South. I too was watching when the video ended and "Iron Horse" aired. I`ve never heard of Mean Mary but it did not take long for me to realize the only thing mean was how Mary plays. I am impressed with all the instruments she plays. When I get retired and moved in a couple months I will be looking for your concert and spreading the word about your music. Thank you!!! Will

"What about Tomorrow" rings a chime with me. It's like the perfect song for us who are master procrastinators to get us motivated. I was feelin' down tonight when I stumbled upon your live concert about two hours late (local time in Germany) but luckily I could still watch it. I follow you on Spotify and am subscribing to your newsletter now. Many thanks for brightin' up my mind and for the positive vibes I receive whenever I see your face. Seein' you and listening to your banjo playing always makes me happy, just about the same way a sweet little purring kitten does. Been your fan since I first watched the video of Iron Horse. I knew instantly then that you're an real artist. Times are tough but people like you keep me hangin' on. Stay in the spirit . . . !
