Award-winning musician/writer and fan favorite (over 30 million views on her KZbin videos), Mean Mary, literally grew-up in music. Back in the day I used to watch a morning show out of Birmingham called the country boy Eddie show. I was looking back at some old videos of that show and saw a video of mean Mary as a child playing on the show. I wondered what she might be doing and did a search and wow! She grew up to be fabulous. Great instrumentalist. Her singing voice here is in great form. I have been a pro musician all my life and I know a fine talent when I see and hear one. Mary is so fine.

Yes sir, the Country Boy Eddie show, in fact, my Dad worked in the studios during those times. I hope she will be back in Alabama, her Auburn concert was cancelled before. But maybe someday!!

I had an epiphany while watching this video. I have had a recurring dream/vision/nighmare for years in which I and many more are standing in a very, very long queue that meanders up a mountain to where the Great Creator is dispensing musical talent. Very visible alongside the Great Creator is a large calibrated glass structure like a giant thermometer. It shows that as the GC dispenses musical talent to those at the head of the queue, the level left in the reservoir is gradually declining. We feel apprehensive that by the time we shuffle to the front of the queue there will be no musical talent left or it will be severely rationed. Suddenly, the Great Creator stops and calls forward a lady who has just joined the end of the queue way behind us. We look on perplexed as this lady makes her way to the top of the mountain laden down with banjos, guitars, fiddles etc. The Great Creator dispenses her allotted amount of musical talent. The level in the reservoir suddenly plummets. I now know WHO THAT LADY IS!
