Another MM U302 Super and It Is A LP Gasser

I could not pass up acquiring this 1966 Minneapolis Moline U302 Super LP Gas. I have been wanting one for some time.

When I worked for white motors during the consolidation of the Oliver ran Moline factories and warehouses in 1970, In Hopkins, Minnesota engineering had a 1968 U302LP. Wheatland with spin out wheels. We used it to plant corn with a John Deere 7000 6 row I'm used to on A51 foot elevator for corn and beans in the fall. The velve's burn or something wrong with them. End had them replaced with some rotary valves at a Moline shop in glencoe Minnesota. One early summer day, we headed on a rotary hole. And I told my son to drive as fast as he could in fourth gear. He came over a knoll and the tractor was in the air. Obviously he did not hear. When I said in fourth gear.

That looks like a good original straight old tractor, Dan. Hope the engine frees up easily, I'd love to hear it running. "Cool beans." 🤣 I saw quite a few IH tractors at Red Power Roundup in Iowa that had LPG fueled motors. Peter 🚜🇬🇧

I wish Ford would of used MM super idea w/2 different numbers to track,all my diesel Fords has most or all numbers missing because of battery acid,boiling over etc,those 8 Fords I can only guess the yrs made,it’s worked so far,both my diesel 4000s,same way. Dan this vid I enjoyed,always sticking my nose out at those 302s.
