John wrote some amazingly complicated pieces that you seem to play with such ease. Hats off to you. Just excellent!

Yes, he had a nasty habit of writing pieces that were complicated or difficult to replicate. I'm currently working on 'The moon Shines Bright' which has some awful stretches in it. I think I may have to cheat and capo up to make the stretches less painful. Thanks again Phil and all the very best for Christmas and the new year

@@Chrisjwhit His speed and fluidity is really hard to replicate and some of his stuff requires it to sound right. You nailed it here

That was wonderful. Totally tip top. Many thanks for all the videos you have added to your channel. I have found them entertaining and indispensable in my attempts to learn the guitar. Merry Christmas to you and all your loved ones.

A very good take on one of JR most difficult pieces I saw him play it in a pub in Brighton in the early 70’s and the audience was stunned.Btw what is that beautiful guitar ?

Off and on about 25 years ! Recently the amazing Clive Carroll has shown me his version of it which is the closest I've heard to the original. I'm pleased you like it. All the best

@@Chrisjwhit Great Stuff. I regret never going to those Renbourn get togethers and taking a lesson with him when he was on this planet. I can play most things but his stuff gets really tricky and different; particularly the stuff on The Hermit.
