I love the way they turn the Balladeer into Lee Harvey Oswald in the current London staging.

smndat Yeah, it’s such a cool idea. It’s the corruption of the American Dream personified.

Is it a bit more resonant now in 2021?

@@acchaladka this is what’s emphasized in the recent revival!

It more so emphasizes the fact that anyone can become an Oswald. Assassins are begot out of the most ordinary citizens, the Balladeer being one of them.

No. They're marching because it shows them together as one, strong "army" who all want to be remembered for the same reason, so they're working "together". They also achieved their objective, to get the balladeer to become Lee Harvey Oswald. And yeah Les Mis didn't invent marching in place but I see what you're getting at.

What's the difference between a murderer and soldiers? They both have patriotism

Completely genius to make lee and balladeer the same character

I love how they're marching to hide Niel while he's changing into Oswald.

I heard from someone who saw the show live that they project the Zapruder film of JFK's assassination onto Lee Harvey Oswald's T-shirt... Is that what's happening when the video stops?
@coastercritic2878 жыл бұрын
Cali Hoyer No, It happens after Lee shoots JFK.

Is that a reference to Les Mis, when they're marching on the spot? Like in One Day More?

The formation they used for the marching section was unfortunate in it's resemble to the Les Miz thing.
