I've done this show twice in the last 20 years and this is the best Something just Broke Ive seen. Its slower than ive ever performed it, which is great! It makes the lines of the individual characters blend in to one sold thru line of melody as opposed to a faster version which seems to make the parts separate into random blurtings of the actors.

I loved the way this production used the ensemble cast in multiple roles. Just shows the actors' versatility.

This was SUCH an amazing production! The actress who played Sara Jane Moore, who is the lady wearing the apron in this song, was amazing in all aspects: she was a great actress, incredibly funny, and such a beautiful voice. I hope she gets the success she deserves.

That's Kendra Kassebaum. She actually has had an extensive career in the theatre. Aside from regional and touring productions, she has appeared on Broadway, including stints in the "Assassins" revival (as the u/s for Squeaky Fromme), "RENT", "Wicked" (as Glinda), and the original casts of "Leap of Faith" and "Come From Away".

This is thematically very much like Someone In A Tree - which is a much better song. Assassins was a terrific show with some problems, but every time I've see it, some material has been dropped or changed. One production I saw dropped this song completely. And watching it again I'm not sure it is needed. It changes the tone of the piece too much.
