20?? Saying idols name with a korean accent now makes us a koreaboo? Seriously?everytime i say an idols name, i always say the correct pronunciation of their names so ig im a koreaboo now? Im currently learning korean And i always pronounce their name with korean accent. So if im speaking fluent english despite not being American. Im an americaboo??

unless you're talking w people in korean or making an effort to say it correctly to someone interested, kinda yeah.... cringy af and as a non english native speaker myself, living in my home country, its not like i'm gonna say "KZbin" w the ""right"" pronunciation out of the blue to the people around me just bc i speak the language, its out of touch and unnecessary

@belondon23 well right now I'm learning korean so that I don't have to watch idols live just to see their faces. So there is no way i can pronounce their names incorrectly... It just comes out. I cant mispronounce their names just to prove im not a koreaboo.. and i thought koreaboo means being obsessed with the country and their culture? How does pronouncing names correctly make me a koreaboo? It might be cringe but it doesn't make someone koreaboo. People are forgetting what koreaboo means and calling everyone who does ANYTHING related to korea a koreaboo.. i was taught since my childhood "If you want to learn a language, dont just learn the language but also learn the correct pronunciations because if you mispronounce in front of a native speaker, they might take it weirdly and some people might want to keep distance and not talk to you. That's how world has become"

right? i don’t understand their point. i feel like if you’re going to say someone’s name, you should pronounce it to the best of your abilities. if pronouncing a korean idol’s name the way it’s intended makes me a koreaboo, so be it.

@meowzinzin yeah. Anyone would want others to pronounce their names correctly. If anyone pronounces my name wrong, i get really angry... Imagine calling Karina as kherina...

14- How did bts and blackpink pave the way when groups were receiving awards, breaking records, charting, performing, and being recognized before both groups even existed? 19- Pretty sure that’s how concepts work 20- this is so dumb, how does pronouncing someone’s name right mean you want to be part of their ethnicity? 37- first of all a “tomboy” is when a girl is into things that boys are stereotypically into. Second I don’t really see how this is a problem, when girl groups cover boy group don’t they almost always make it more feminine, I don’t see how it’s a problem the other way around 38- always believe the victim, but that doesn’t mean you should automatically start hating on the idol being accused either.

so many people really overdefend the idol and never say the idol could be an issue in xyz situation, ive seen skz members call changbin a pig because he isnt skinny or underweight like they are and no one pulls them up on it. its the same behaviour that another member of other groups say for calling a member tan / darker because his skin colour is different than theirs. idols really arent as open minded as people may expect them to be. some will be yes but not all of them. their fans are insensitive unless it benefit their biases, using dianas passing as a means to make a conspiracy about jungkook os disrespectful af. and people parrot that conspiracy online all because hes born one day after her? and all the ratmies do is find it funny yeah haha so hilarious. theyre so insensitive these days that it only seems to matter if it involves boosting an idol up, never mind if it affect anyone else.

changbin's representative animal is dwaekki so that's why they joke about it, they always talk about how healthy changbin is and how they love his muscles and how he inspired them to workout more. we all know he's a bulker and changbin has a strong personality he'd tell them off if he was mad lol.

Good video. Most are def facts but fans are not ready to take criticism which does not even involve them personally. I have one that comes to mind: monthly listeners are more important than the Spotify numbers cause a larger audience is about the first one while overstreaming is about the second one. And I would say, fanwars are important cause BTS and BP def win from that.
