I have plenty of compassion for innocent civilians, although the fact is many “civilians” are still assisting and approve of the terrorists. Like MANY. Do you know where the rescued hostages were found? They were being kept in civilian homes, who willingly kept them hostage for Hamas. They were happy to do so. One reporter literally was writing hit pieces about the IDF while he kept Israeli hostages in his home. I compassion for both sides, but unlike most people in this comment section, I’m well studied in this long time conflict and how Hamas does war. They WANT their citizens to die. Heck, they’re the ones killing them half of the time. IDF goes door to door, looking for terrorists even though they could turn Gaza into a parking lot tomorrow if they felt like it. But instead their own soldiers are dying by going in on foot. I also actually watched some of the atrocities on October 7th, I forced myself to see the evil. I’ve never seen the IDF do anything like what I saw that day. There is OBVIOUSLY a bad guy here and it’s not the Israelis. In the Old Testament, the times in Israel when there was peace was AFTER Israel had destroyed its enemies. God helped them do it, does that mean God was wrong? War is ugly, but it happens and it’s not always that both sides are equally evil. Wake up.
