Hopefully I too will find an old piece of wood with some runes carved on it someday. 👌🏻

It hurts me as a swede to admit this since swedes and danes has tried to steal Norways thunder for such a long time: But vikings came orginally from Norway. This video proves it beyond any doubt. The fjords FORCED the vikings to make boats to be able to travel inside Norway crossing the hundreds of fjords in Norway. Sweden and Denmark are both without fjords - so there was no need to invent boats there. Your video just made me realize this fact.

I have to wonder, how many small items like this have ended up in landfills throughout the years because 1: after picking something up and later deciding it was just garbage, they chuck it in the trash, and 2: after a child finds something and takes it home to show their mother she says, "Oh that's just someone's filthy garbage. Throw it in the trash and stop bringing dirty things in to the house". Ugh! That must be frustrating just for archaeologists to even think about. My mother is number 2. 🤦 I learned early to never show her anything I found. I would hide my treasures and clean them later. 😂 Sadly, I never found anything of historic value... but then, I live in the central U.S. so not really much to find other than arrowheads.

I realize it's been a while since your last video was posted, but I used to love sitting and relaxing with one of your videos on to wind down. Any chance you'll cover the big Runestone find from January?

I wonder, is it an old version of a nett stick, or wath do you think it was used for ?, it must have been important for Asbjörn! The most intresting juniper wood peice must be the one with the of portaited viking ships!🕊
