Another Project Started Restoring the 1958 Ford F100 Patina Cab Part 1

E-195 We've moved the 1958 Ford F100 Cab in the garage and figured out how the rotisserie works. Work begins on the cab by getting the A pillar rebuilt and aligned. The driver side step is also fixed. This project is only to restore the cab, leaving as much original metal and doing our best not to disturb any of the external patina.

Derek 25yrs ago I did the same thing on my 1962 Unibody F100 short bed. Replacement sheet metal parts were not available then. Carry on my friend.😊

Good job you spotted the position of the A pillar. Thats another great tip to anybody doing work like this. Those little integrated patches worked well to give the pillar strength again. Will you do the passenger side to match next floors last? Enjoyed this episode. Cheers take care both.

My plan at the moment is to do the floors on the driver's side first and secure it completely. The passenger side has more through holes but seems to be securely attached where the driver's side was not. Unfortunately it will be repetitive but necessary. It should go faster though since I'll use a similar approach as the driver's side.
