I bought my first roll of tight line for shore fishing. I’m excited to see this video as I’m planning on adding it to my tuna sticks. How has the line been holding up with the bigger fish?

They have been landing monsters for sure

I’m stoked to hear that! I love their product. I only hear people talking about spectra. Time to spool up the big reels with tight lines

Yes sir they are making a super great product

hello, im in uk can you use hollow core braid for beach casting. and is it better than solid core. my reels are avet 5.8 mxl mc.
@TeamHardLife11 ай бұрын
Most definitely way better than solid braid ... and also easier to get out when you back lash also to help maintain your line capacity

I’m curious in my 14000 spinning reel I can put 300 meters of pe 6 130lb solid braid which is around 42mm how much of 120-130lbs hollow core I can spool in my 14000 reel?
@TeamHardLife11 ай бұрын
I looked into online mm of the pe lines and I see it's a lot thicker than that diameter... .52-.55 and the hollow cores I see are .57 with tightline and even then truly believe you can still get more hollow onto the reel compared to it..

@@TeamHardLifefrom what I check again 0,52mm is equivalent to pe 8-pe 10 I guess I have to try to find out

Would putting 65lb hollow braid with a 40lb top shot be worth it? Or is hollow core more beneficial at higher pound test?
@TeamHardLife8 ай бұрын
Why put 40# on top of 65#... or were you asking about 40# mono..? Either way we have gotten completely away from the use on mono top shots unless using it for offshore fishing trolling
@marcomunoz74538 ай бұрын
@@TeamHardLife it would be for tuna fishing. I’m contemplating hollow vs solid braid in 60lb with a 40lb top shot of mono.

We have seen both days of the way guys fish for tuna.. guys up north like the hollow core and those in the south like solid..

@@marcomunoz7453 I run 80lb hollow core and 100lb fluoro for big YF tuna out here in hawaii. It is more than enough for the big boys. I don't think I'd ever go less than a 65lb leader

I don't see the upside to this. Wasting a lot of extra line. Plus gonna make the line much more dense on the spool probably effecting how it cast. I like to be able to fish and keep my line changed more often with fresher line..this takes you in the opposite direction. I know braid has to go bad at some point from just being exposed to the elements. I fish my reels 6 to 8 times before changing line. But I'm just using mono on a baitcaster. Not sure how it is with surf reels and line like this.

OK the inner braid doesn't get worn like the outer braid will obviously cause it will only hit water when hooked up to monster fish, next when you want to change the top shot all.you have to do it change that out no worries it will splice in and no knot, and also.you only have to change out the top part.so saving you money In the long run.. and yes you will not completely fill up the spool for casting you will have it backed off atleast allowing 1/4" of an inch to allow the spool to breath while casting been doing long distance casting with the hollow core braid and I am getting close to the 200yd mark with regular fishing reels... but I know if I clean them up a bit I can break that mark no worries.. so stay tuned

That can work as well.. but have seen where the pp is more expensive than some of the hollow core braid were using so I would still go with the hollow
