The Rendi thing had me questioning them a lot. Ban all a player's accounts in response to a video, then make a post on their homepage defaming the player. That was just weird. But yeah totally makes sense there would be an inside job going on and that Jed was blamed. I remember articles years ago about how Jagex developers/employees had to take second jobs because they didn't make enough to cover their basic needs. If they are underpaid and Cambridge is expensive you could see a motive for why they might do some dirty work on the job.

Yeah the treatment of Rendi was disgusting to me, as a player of 17 years it was horrible. Rendi made content that was VERY Runescape at its core and it really embodied the spirit of the game but alas they shot him twice and buried the gun.

@Oakdice That new "warding" skill is exactly what Mod Kiren wanted and said in an old previous live stream with Mod Aiza on it. (This was many months ago, maybe 1 year ago, before the 3 skill pitches) They joked about it being like Sims. Also mentioned that it would be instanced like the construction skill is.

These problems did not happen untill after they started hiring people from the community to work on and test the game. The second players started becoming insiders, the game went to shit.

this is why i think something fishy is going on. Duel arena tax came in, wiped out so much gold and suddenly gp prices went from 80c/mil down to 40c/mil and lower. that makes absolutely 0 sense.

That makes sense at first but think about this - Duel Arena was filled with gambling addicts that used the place as nothing more than a roulette table. Anyone's guess is as good as mine but I'd say at least 100k USD a day was bought/sold because of the Duel Arena. Duel Arena was taken out so that demand has gone away, causing the price of GP to fall.

I keep thinking about the hundreds upon hundreds of bots equipt with membership and ready to go once a bug is brought to our attention. Honestly, I don’t think it’s a rogue jmod. The reason we see a new exploit pop up and it’s already being bot farmed is likely because the people doing the exploit are doing it covertly at first, figuring out the exact steps to make it work, and then going absolutely ham with their bot farms all at once to make sure they get as much profit as possible before it’s patched.

Funny you mention the Kingdom skill - I actually have a proposed "Dynasty" skill I was working on, I really don't think it would fit in with OSRS, but imagine with Valarmore releasing it came with a whole system centered around creating a dynasty for your character. It wouldn't work with Jagex's monetization model - Because my general idea would be to allow you to have different "profiles" on your account.

right now theres rev bots that pray before your weapon is actually in your hand for example most bots you can sip a pot n 1 tick balista from staff and hit off prayer however this new farm almost has to be reading server side what youre doing and praying it as you do it as its literally the only way it can be that fast or detect a weapon it cant see this along with the spindel and aturio bots ive recently found have made me really believe in your rouge theroy how can they have spindel bots programmed day 1 to avoid mechanics its not that hard i guess but seem fishy and the praying is almost certainly server side weapon detection by the small new rev bot farm

the 1 thing that probably annoys me with the scrimshaw dupe is that alot of people have known for years myself included that you could reset scrimshaw timers it was just a dumb bug you could semi abuse for extra time im almost 100% sure multiple jmod's knew about it as well so when they did the update where you could add multiple to a single scrimshaw i dont understand why they didn't just instantly set the death value to 1 gp or just fix the fucking bug heck had i known about the update that allowed you to put multiple into 1 i woulda likely even tryed to see if the bug still excisted or not as far as i know the bug havent even ben fixed either so you can likely still dupe a fuckton of diffrent scrimshaws and just mess up the market

i bet my ass some mods abuse the game.... and i think is the full team in it :) i have reported the same bots for 2 mounths in a raw at the Runite rock on Central Fremennik Isles mine ... guess what ... same bots still today there... some with 95+ mining :)
