Love your videos! I really want to start commuting in winter as well, and I normally don't mind the cold either. I'm worried the salt will ruin my bike though. Do you just rinse your bike when you get home? My main concern is the salt on the bike for the 8+ hours I'm at work.

I use Silca Gear Wipes and will do a more involved cleanings on a weekend. I am probably a little lax on constantly worrying about salt but if you're super worried I think those gear wipes could give you a little piece of mind.
